Depends how u look at it.
Anyways... it was on the first post but when I updated the post last time I just copied pasted the one I had on xda... so it not there anymore. However, it is mentioned about 5 time in the thread so... searching would have been a good idea.
I did post exactly what I use to get around that bug a few posts back though... I would suggest to everyone to do what I did just to save a little extra room and I think its better like that anyways.

Sorry guys, my bad for not making sure that bug is known to all.. but its also been a while and I figured everyone knows about it by now.

I did update to the latest Rom over the weekend and I still had no luck staying connected to 4G. I think my radio is bad or something. I'll wait until Froyo 2.2 is rooted and then exchange it. Thanks for all the help.

mmm.... first of all u not on the newest version(it has a few extra scrips running on start up but might not help u)...
but thats not what interesting here for u.... u wanna get 4g working.
ok.
so here are some quick questions for u.
1)did u try on a different rom? did it work? if u didn'y try... i think u should.
2)u did flash the wimax radio also right? and after the radio updated not before.
3)which way r u rooted? toast or unrevoked?

just as a tiny heads up for all u guys also... it was said before that there was one version of unrevoked that broke 4g for a lot of people, im not sure if it ever got fixed... the new unrevoked method is completely safe for sure.

1. Havent tired a different rom, I will tomorrow. I actually work in a 4g area its not at my house.
2. Correct, I flashed the wimax radio after the radio updated.

Update:
Still no luck getting 4g back working. I did try out some other Roms including you're 1.2v. I believe I fried the radio when I flashed to the Froyo version. No big deal though, I got my replacement from Sprint today and it has 2.2 already on it. So the dilemma for me now is do I keep my rooted non 4g Evo, or activate the un-rootable Evo with 4g working?

how much did they charge u for a replacement?
im assuming u went with the whole "phone lost" thing...

btw, if 4G is not a big deal for u then i would say keep runing with the rooted one.
stock 2.2 is nice overall... but there are so many things that cannot be tweaked or changes its kinda like having a Ferrari and only driving it in a 30mph speed limit zone with a lot of cops all over the place. u get my point.

No charge for the replacement. I just went to the Sprint store and told them my 4g wanst working anymore so they ordered me a replacement. I checked the status of the phone cuz I thought it was a refurb because it came without original packaging but there is no refub date on the phone or any calls on the life timer.
