Excellent! Even though it's mentioned in the link I thought I'd mention it here-atm the *#*#4636#*#* code only works on CM6 so for that one we need to keep using the Network app.

Easy. Go into /system/app and remove htclockscreen.apk
Only issue is you wont be able to turn off your alarm clock if you use HTC Alarm clock. Just install a thrid party app and you're all set.

ok now that i got this new kernel and nothing to flash i desided to start from scratch... only problem is bow my sprint nfl wont install !!!! help. it starts to loads but never gets past the blue screen. kinda shuts its sefl all the way down.

I will give that a try. It seems to me I did try but it wouldnt let me delete it, something about read only file. I tried in shell and I tried in astro and android mate, no go.

EDIT: I am fully rooted, I just checked to make sure nothing went haywire with all the flashes I have done lately.


And for the Sprint football app, which one are you trying to install? Mine works fine, but since the update it is called Sprint Football Live...has both NFL and college now.

ive tried the one on first post amd the one on freshs rom page. both jus close b4 they load up


edit... deleted atk cleared hisory uninstalled , reinstalled all good now !! weird

Have you tried getting it from here

Or better yet I will just get it from my phone

They have made great strides with this app...well since the one from a couple years ago at least

/system is usually Read-Only.
You can use

adb remount

to make /system read-write. It's not permanent so you'd have to do it again the next time you alter/remove anything.

My 4g is not working after I installed froyo... but everything else works great. I installed the wimax and broadband radio like you said but I get nothing. Please let me know if this is suppose to be working or not. Thanks for all your hard work.

Question?.... u think "simple root" would work in this guys case? I've been thinking of doing simple root on my 2nd EVO.. but I don't wanna mess up my wife's phone. Unrevocked didn't turn out to well attaining full root. I have read various other forums where ppl r claiming u do get full root in just a few simple steps...
