That would be all of them. OMJ is rock solid. The brick s***house of ROMs if you will.
Apps2Sd wasn't working well in 1.5 so it was pulled for 1.6.
The latest wimax update broke 4G for a lot of users across ROMs. It has nothing to do with the ROM.
Read the thread a little ways back then flash to find out for yourself.
I would suggest you follow whitslacks steps linked in my sig to get a clean install of the latest radio and wimax. Flash those files, wipe, then flash OMJ.

So my WiFiTether doesn't work. I tried reinstalling and all that jazz. I was wondering if I would get charged for data if I tethered via the the USB options section where it lets you choose whether to Charge Only, HTC Sync, Disk Drive or Internet Sharing?

Um i didnt hack. I just loaded 1.6. Installed HTC Sync on my Windows 7. Then I plug the USB into the computer (and phone). The phone prompts me to: A.) Charge Only B.) HTC Sync C.) Disk Drive D.) Internet Sharing. I choose internet sharing, Windows 7 automatically installs the drivers and adds "Local Area Connection 2" under network connections. After about a minute, it gets an IP address automatically and I'm online.

I dont know if this makes a difference: USB debugging is enabled under Settings --> Application --> Development

So, I'm curious, considering i'm going through the phone's innate options to tether, does sprint know i'm doing it? (instead of using a 3rd party app to initiate the tether - ie pdanet or wifitether)

Re: OMJ's HTC EVO 2.1 Custom ROM v1.6 | Eclair | *Updated | 6/30/10*

updated ROM should be ready tonight. There will actually be 2 versions. Those that followed Winmonewbies advice to fix 4g did the right thing (good job bro!). The file/fix that whitslack posted is just a modified version of the official 1.47.651.1 ROM. When I compare his file(s) w/ the official ROM, they are almost identical, except for HBOOT & Recovery, which whitslack states in his thread. I think the problem with v1.6 was that there is more than just the radio & wimax that gets updated if you updated w/ the official OTA update. It updates hboot, boot, recovery, system, userdata, microprocessor, radio, and WiMAX, so we were not getting the full updated files. This was not learned until the official RUU was released, which was after v1.6.

so here's the breakdown of the 2 ROMs:

1st ROM: has all the OTA updates, because of this, it will need to be flashed differently. you will have to flash from bootloader, just like if you followed whitslack's guide or similar to rooting, by placing PC36IMG.zip on the root of SD, power off, hold down vol down while pressing power. Only downside is the apps that I have added are installed to system/app & cannot be uninstalled. ROM will NOT be available via ROM Manager.

2nd ROM: This ROM will be a regular update.....if you have already flashed whitslack's starting over ROM/fix, you already have all the needed updates, so you will update/flash normally. ROM will be also available via ROM Manager.

1st ROM is uploading now....

@OMJ-THANKS for the confirmation Bro. Glad it helped.
Can't wait to try the new joint.
So apps in ROM2 will be uninstllable? If so users who choose to do so could go through whitslacks steps then flash ROM2?
Did you use frankensteins mod to enable adb remount?

I've read that Sprint does allow single device, wired tethering. Makes sense, if they didn't they would not have allowed it to work through HTC Sync.
If you're still worried just use Easy Tether or PDAnet from the Market.

those that are on 1.6 and have gone through the starting over process, wont see much difference.....it probably wont be worth the time. v1.7 is more of a fix for the latest OTA, I know alot of people were holding off until it was fixed.

-added Quickboot
-fixed the force closing on wifi tether (thx to chris1683)

yes, the apps that I added in ROM2 will be uninstallable just like previous versions. ROM1 is very similar to whitslacks update/fix, the only difference is the modified system & I replaced the RA recovery w/ the one from Toast. So if someone flashes ROM1, the only thing they would gain by flashing ROM2 after, is being able to uninstall those 7 apps I added.

no, I did not need to use the modified kernel from frankenstein, I verified the required change was already done. I just checked adb shell, went straight to #

*Also, keep in mind everyone, I'm not in a 4G area, so I can't confirm it is working, but it should!
