Sprint Picturemail worked fine when I used htcmessagingclient from 1921. I'm sure it'll work fine with the one from 2012. It uses it's own program for mms, so they aren't treated as text messages really.

Hey guys,

I've been trying to figure out how to recmod but can't seem to get it to work.

So far, what I have is the superRecMod folder from xda from the below link and OMJ's "RecModCommonFiles.zip" file.

Can someone guide me to where I can find a step by step guide for how to Recmod? I appreciate the help..

i dnno....i might have to go with OMJs route, even though i would of rather used the stock sprint way.

First create shortcuts to superrecmod.exe and recmodcommon.bat. Then google how to 'add item send to XX". Replace XX with your OS (ie Widnows 7). Add both shortcuts to the send-to menu. For sys, go to \SYS\Shared, right click on the Common folder, and choose send-to recmodcommon.bat. It will open a dos window and recmod all recommended things in common. For superrecmod, you can just right click on a single module (folder) or hold ctrl and select multiple modules, then choose send-to superrecmod.exe.

Well, not sure about 6.5.3 but I'm running it on 6.5 (21887), but currently using the ppl msg classic mod and going to try it without that mod when I get back home from on the road... but sounds like I'll be good thanks to

Help!!! My problem is that I just found out that my camera (and my wife's - we're on the same custom rom) don't work. When I try to start using the icon, it briefly changes color, like its going to start, returns to the original color but nothing happens. If I execute camera.exe in windows manually, I get the message "The file 'Camera' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."

I have been using the same rom for some time which is a very lean 21877-based Titanium rom which I derived from the one in the kitchen. I know this used to work previously and I've searched quite a bit and tried several different things including some camera cabs, an skcerts cab, and activation some albums in the kitchen which I had deactivated. Again, I know this used to work in v1.6 of the kitchen. I only recently moved to v1.9 and as I don't use the camera very often, only discovered it in the last couple of days. The only other change, that I've largely discounted is that I am using LZX compression. I'm discounting because I was using that in v1.6 and I've seen no problems with anything else.

Any help, suggestions is greatly appreciated. If it helps, I can post my .erv file. LMK.

Thanks!! Recmodding seems to have saved me a bunch of space..actually, quite a bit. went from around 65ish free to 80ish. Is it possible to recmod the EXT packages?


also, has anyone tried htc messaging client and sprint picture mail on 2012? i tried the htc messaging client (2011) package with the sprint picture mail cab posted earlier but something seems to be off. when i try to reply to a text message, only the bottom selector bar shows up (the one with the slider to select contact info, sms, call log). the rest of the screen is blank. the keyboard pops up but the screen above the slider bar stays completely blank. maybe i'm not using the correct packages.

Fixed the blanks screen problem...but can't figure out the picture mail setup. I tried sending a picture through the album (shared > message) but it goes through htc messaging client instead of sprint picture mail. is there prior setup involved before being able to use the picture mail?

this work flawlessly on vga... just install the cab then the setting util into internal storage.... change the res and what ever else u might want to change... there are a lot of options.
this will make your home screen tab better than perfect!!!

Couple new discoveries. Have also found that teeter and the calculator are also no longer working. These also definitely worked in v1.6. Next, saw in Amikam's thread that the above camera problem was also being observed, but fixed in his latest rom. This is what he said in regards to the cause and the solution... "in the oem folder... i added back some old mHub files back with their regedits... thats what did fixed it. hope it helps."

OMJ: Any chance that these same files either got removed or aren't getting loaded properly in a titanium only build in the kitchen v1.9? Could the titanium/sashimi error that was addressed with a change in the config_operator.txt file be causing this? Just grasping at straws here.

just make sure u have these folders in the oem\common\.
System - mHub 6.57.090121.E1
System - mHub VO 1.7.090929.0

if they exist i don't see what the problem might be cuz that what fixed my issues.
originally i had the issue cuz i added a newer version of mhub.... and didn't notice that some files were not the same.
