Re: OMJ's HTC Sense Kitchen v1.9 | WM 6.x / WM 6.5.x | 21055 / 21887 / 28014 | 2/16/1

Thanks for OMJ'ing 23541 OMJ. I decided to give 2012 a try again, this time making sure to add Opera 10 and Google Maps. It's funny but I think I like it.
By the way - I assume everyone noticed it is identified as 23533 - a typo perhaps? Nevertheless, I do like 23541 and the font used too, reminds me of one of the 280xx builds (the font that is).
El Mono
Oops, apparently not a typo. Sorry for my confusion.

are these seen when typing or just viewing?

The 23541 ROM I made for WMPU has Opera 9.7, I didn't do much surfing when I tested it, but I did confirm I could reach their website, which is also the homepage....I didn't notice any weird symbols.

Hey Ken, I've tried this several times with the kitchen and the roms seem to build but won't launch HTC sense when complete. I'm not deleting or adding any significant folders from or to the kitchen. Any suggestions?
did u make sure to include this package?

OMJ HTC Sense Kitchen v1.9\EXT\Shared\021_Sense_2.5_1920_Tweaks\HTCSense _Tweak_WM6.1

this regedit is needed:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila]
"IsWM6.5"=dword:0

if u did include, you can post your erv file or build log so I can see what u included

Hey OMJ,

I've been using htc messaging more and more and have come to like it... I don't use picmail much so the Sprint Picmail will suffice for me even though it's a bit slower than Arcsoft. I can't remember if there were any other issues with HTC Messaging other than that since it has been so long since I haven't use Ammarulz NoMsg Client. Do you remember if there are any other issues? Think when I get back in town I'm gonna try cooking HTC Messaging back in and leaving the NoMsg Client out. Anything special I need to do to accomplish that other than re-select HTC Messaging and un-check NoMsg Client?

Thanks

the 2012 htc messaging is not bad at all, much better than 1921. just exclude the people message classic & add back in the htc messaging

you dont need picmail, just include Arcsoft, and make this reg change.
Code:
from:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\ExternalAccounts\SMS]

to:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\ExternalAccounts\SMS.htc]
this will allow u to send MMS via Poutlook.

Cool, but until 2012 at least has the 12 programs mod I can't bring myself to switch to it... that is unless the current mod will work??

I'm still curious if the Sprint Picmail will work with 2012 so I won't have to use the ppl messaging classic mod nor have to use POutlook at all. This way everything would be more consistent and seemless throughout and never have to see any native WM at all (even though the sprint picmail is not quite as good as arcsoft, it installs into the email tab and looks/feels more like HTC Messaging than POutlook... like i said, l don't use picmail enough to make having arcsoft a must ... sprint version is good enough for me)
