having the same problem as everyone else, really a pain for this number i don't have saved or in history yet that i've been needing to call lol. Also, GVdialer (a google voice app, not another keyboard) isn't working. after i click a number in contacts and it begins to connect, instead of automatically asking if i want it dialed directly or with gvdialer, after a second the dialer with the non working touch button pops up and doesn't try to make the call at all, either with gvdialer or directly :/

You may want to install your apps to the internal storage, do the same for mail attachments and lower the cache size in opera... small sacrifice for such a great ROM.

Now the dialer bug is another issue - hopefully we'll see a quick fix...

I used to have all kinds of dialer problems with the last EnergyROM I was on which was why I eventually decided to build my own using Calkulin's kitchen. Even then, I still frequently have a problem where I'll type out the number and hit Talk and nothing happens. Most of the time I can just hit Talk a second time and it will dial.

Anyway, the fact that I had similar problems both with Energy and with my own leads me to think the glitch is problem with some system files or something.

By the way, can anybody clarify exactly what breaks if you disable the Taichi dialer? I gather that dialing from the Contacts tab no longer works, but what about from the HTC contacts list? (All Contacts softkey) Does that also not work? Even after rolling my own ROM I'm still getting the problem of Taichi and the standard dialer competing with each other.

Great Rom...dialer bug is killer though! Hope there's a quick fix/patch for this. Very reminiscent of a similar dialer bug when Tachi was first ported over IIRC...

First off, GREAT Rom! I have one feature I was using on the last version but can't seem to find how to activate it on this version. **Speakerphone** - the last version when I was on a call if I would flip the phone upside down it would automatically go to speakerphone. I liked this but it's not working for me now. What do I need to do. Thanks!

@DJ Fokus: I don't recall that being in the last version. Sounds like you had Touch InCall Screen Tweak installed.

So anyone else having major keyboard issues? With the Sept 6 version of the rom I got a little bit of sporadic keyboard freezes but nothing too noticeable. Basically it was the same old issue that's been discussed for a while. But now with this rom every 2nd letter freezes the keyboard for AT LEAST 15 seconds. It takes me five minutes to send a text saying "hey what's up". I have tried soft reseting, hard reseting, and later installed the compact qwerty cab from Riley's tweaks. Nothing fixes the problem. I'm going to have to revert back to the Sept 6 rom until that issue can be corrected.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, I'm actually having that problem too. I am getting a LOT of system slowdowns with this ROM. If the dialing bug, the keyboard problem and the slowdowns are fixed though, I'll definitely stick with this ROM for a long time.

the keyboard needs changed, NRG might be best served removing all htc ezinput sips and letting us select which sip to install via cab. everyone has different favorites like touchpal, fingerkeyboard, stock htc ezinput 1.5, etc... I'm sure he is aware of this and will test out new ones. Have you tried installing one of the stock htc 1.5 sips? the only thing is it will take up alot of memory. not ideal but worth a try.
