Yo DB I'm downloading 2.4 now, cant wait to see the difference since I've been using 2.1. Quick question, what is the purpose of push internet? With it disabled what wont work if anything?

my understanding is push internet will allow you to shut off your internet connection which of course will reduce memory and battery usage. Bonz discusses this in his blog on the first page. I would assume any program or app that requires internet will not function like push email, weather updates, rss feed updates, etc. But this is designed to allow you to choice of turning it off when you know internet usage is not needed (like overnight for example).

Tried the hardware key, its delayed. not sure if its rhodium related or not. Build is good. I've enjoyed playing with it...

A great question. I asked about the specific function of push internet about 3 times over at XDA when the whole Rhodium thing was developing and never did get an answer. I assume, like push email, that it is updating things in the background.

The bottom line is that the only things you will notice different with it off is better battery life and maybe a little more free memory.

*edit* Also... there have been a good bit of changes from 2.1 to 2.4. You should see a big difference. Check out the change log if you haven't already.

Is this a recurring issue or something that happened once? If recurring, you may want to hard reset. If once, I wouldn't worry about it.
