Re: 4-26-09 ~~Bear-Bonz Rom~~ Version 1-8 [Rhodium 6.1 21028]

after testing almost everything I could imagine on this ROM, i personally, could only find 2 repeating bugs .. for me anyway.

Opera seems to crash often for me. Like, when I was at the Google.com homepage and typing in a search query, it acts like the "non mobile" version and brings up the suggestion search "real time" feature that google does on real desktop browsers.. and it crashes opera for me.. and when I try to go to m.gmail.com .. i can't install gmail (java) like I used to be able to..I think somehow Opera isn't showing my phone as a Windows Mobile device, and it's trying to load pages as if I'm surfing from a desktop.

Another one is Windows Media player, when i try loading, for example, an ASX or any streaming feed, screen goes black, and I have to pop the battery out to reboot the phone.. not a serious issues as Dry Bonz stated, Kinoma resolves a lot of other issues.. I can play streams from there just fine.

Still a FANTASTIC rom.

Thanks, Reef, for the link.

I will add that I am not including it, in it's current condition, because it breaks a bunch of stuff, and it is just not worth it.

Change your home page to google.com/m.

I don't use WMP due to it's basic inferiority to several other available players, including, as you said, Kinoma... so, sorry I can't comment on the bug you are finding. If I could somehow strip WMP from the rom altogether, I would do it.

*edit* Also, I should mention that google mobile will be the default home page in the next version of the rom. This is one of the little Opera tweaks I did since 1.8.

There's a problem with the ABC bar displaying correctly on the right of TF3D. It cuts off the letter or the letters are too big. I'm not sure which it is...

That is Not A ROM bug, that is a know issue with the Rhodium manila, and will not be fixed till the new manila has been ported.

It's all good, we all have to ask questions, but you did pick the BEST Rhodium out. Pretty much bug free.

There's a problem with the calendar. After a few hours, it doesn't show the calendar items on the clock screen, and the calendar tab doesn't show the items.
I had this problem all weekend with Calcu's new kitchen.
Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Do you mean your appointments don't show? I haven't had any problem like this at all.
