Thanks for the tip, I've been letting the shipped rom run through the costumization and everything!

*EDIT*
K, manual bootloader works great after the tap here screen.

New question, is there a list of Sashimi reg code backups somewere you guys use? I would like to use sashimi to restore my email accounts, ringtone, (hopefuly) my list of programs under the TF3D Programs tab, and also possiblt my weather settings under the weather tab? that last one might be a stretch. Also maybe my favorite people tab under TF3D as well.

The V2.9 Rom seems to be running great so far. Thanks BearBonz!

There is no standard list of reg code backups. This has been asked before and I really do not want this thread to become a tutorial on the registry because, as I stated in my original reply, that could get way off topic quickly.

Some good resources that you can use as a starting point are the Sashimi documentation that comes with the Sashimi download, the Sashimi forums (see the link in the FAQ), and this website... there is a ton of information already documented in these forums, just search it up. Also, there is a whole section on the registry here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27
if you want to post additional questions.

Activesync connection happens automatically. No need to force bootloader. Just look to see the green connection icon in the tray of your PC.

I know that sashimi will run xml, so you can convert your rgu to xml. You can also cab your red edits, which is what I do sometimes.

Re: 5-27-09 ~~Bear-Bonz Rom~~ Version 2-9 [Rhodium/Titanium - 6.5 - 21725]

Just when I thought my battery life on my phone was spent (still the original battery that came with my Diamond), It still holds a charge very well on 2.9 I actually had the phone off the charger for 2 days - (that's unheard of from how many flashes I've done on this phone).

If I was to buy a new battery for this phone, I can only imagine how good the life would be on 2.9 +. I really think that this ROM helped me avoid buying a new battery when I really thought I needed one - And, on top of that, I have Google Sync running as an Active Sync service in the background 24/7 !

edit: and it's still funny when people ask me in public "What kind of phone is that? . THat's so cool" .. I always reply something like "It's not an Iphone" .. they always look confused. haha. Then I smack them in the face.

J/k about the last part.

Lol... that's funny.

I'm glad your battery life is good and that you didn't have to buy a new battery. It's always nice to save money on things like that.

Re: 5-27-09 ~~Bear-Bonz Rom~~ Version 2-9 [Rhodium/Titanium - 6.5 - 21725]

Hey Drybonz!

I'm back to your ROM.
I've been playing with calku's last kitchen for a while but your 21725 version is terrific! Almost perfect.

My only problem is that the HTC phone s2a is delaying the first ring a lot. It stars flashing on the 1st ring but stard rigning and vibrating at the 3rd or 4th ring. Can I disable the htc s2a and use the wm65 s2a or is there a way to reduce the delay of the first ring?

Thx!

the delay is a common issue. You can one of two things. first you can disable the htc dialer by going into advanced config>phone>disable dialer which will enable the native wm 6.5 dialer. Then you can find a good wm6.5 dialer skin to spruce it up a little. Also, you can install another locking app like throttlelock, touch lock pro, lockmelite, etc. and the phone ring will not be delayed. by the way, advanced config should be found under programs>system tools or in settings>system.

Re: 5-27-09 ~~Bear-Bonz Rom~~ Version 2-9 [Rhodium/Titanium - 6.5 - 21725]

Hey all! I gues I need to try this 2.9 version. 2.7 worked so well I had stopped updating. I cant wait to see the new system in action though.

Now for my one issue with the ROM. Glight is giving me fits! I know you wrote the settings into the ROM so we wouldnt have to mess with them, but to be honest those settings are not making full use of the battery saving potential glight offers(my opinion of course) I see you have the minimum backlight set to level 4. I tried to go in and reconfigure the settings and it bugs up the phone like crazy. Anything I change starts causing errors with glight and if I keep messing with it eventually the program stops running all together. After that trying to open the settings just give the error/quit pop up and the only way to fix it is to hard reset. Am I doing something wrong or is it because of the way you have it installed?

You can play around with the settings if you like. You can change the lowest setting or whatever. If you play around with them a bit it's not too hard, but if you find that you are messing something up somehow, it's probably better to just leave them alone. I preset them for you in case that you can't figure them out.
