[Final] grooveROM 5 - CE OS 5.2.23016 (Build 23016.5.3.0) - [Diamond ROM]

Here is some of my feedback for 6.5 w. no manilla 3:

Pros:
-very fast opera 15613! ( if you use this build)
-no sip issues
-no pie issues
-way better performance with everything! very impressed.
-all notifications working properly!
Cons:
- bit shorter battery life.
- issues with text on landscape mode. some buttons are off screen
- weather, money and search widgets still semms alittle off, but much improved over last 2 builds!

other then that i am very impressed with the rom for performance! Thanks alot inda!

Absolutely agree.....I'm really liking this ROM and I'm looking forward to seeing the progression of 6.5 and what Groove and the other chefs can do with it.

I have been itching to try this rom. couple questions. is the non manilla version faster than the one with tf? also, has the exchange 2003 sync situation been fixed. Unfortunately my company is on 2003. thanks guys.

Also having a pretty good time myself using 6.5 w/no manila. A bit laggy in the titanium home screen but I figure thats to be expected with the beta. PIE works better than I would have expected. Keep up the awesome work!

Any way to disable the pop up/taskbar notifications?

whats the program you use for the green battery meter with percentage in your rom? would you care to share the cab install so i can put that on my touch vogue?

ok i installed windows 7 build 7057 then:
Downloaded Versions 6.1 and 6.1
unzipped them with winrar
clicked on Custom_RUU.exe
asked if i wanted to run this program from an unknowen publisher
clicked on yes
the blue circle (old hour glass) appeared and then nothing
tried this on both 6.1 and 6.5


so then I reformatted my computer and installed Windows XP
Re-Downloaded Versions 6.1 and 6.1
unzipped them with winrar
clicked on Custom_RUU.exe
the old hour glass icon appeared and said it could not run...
tried this on both 6.1 and 6.5


So then i reformated my laptop and installed Windows Vista Home Pre.
Re-Downloaded Versions 6.1 and 6.1
unzipped them with winrar
clicked on Custom_RUU.exe
the old hour glass icon appeared then nothing...
tried this on both 6.1 and 6.5

each time I redownloaded the roms and deleted the previous ones.
I have had this issue since the orginal release of grooverom 4.... no so groovy now...... however groove rom 3 works fine.....

I had the same problems with the RUU in Groove 4 and some others has to. You can try and swap out the RUU_signed.nbh in the folders, but i just gave up and flashed from the Internal Storage amd was good to go. Here is the info on how to do it. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...18&postcount=1
