in this case, you are much better off flashing back to the oem shipped rom of your carrier, then flash back to groove new release. this will fix this problem for sure. it does work especially for random hard resets and other abnormal occurences.

cool, you can set it up as well with updating the prl and radio rom before flashing to Groove4. usually I flash the shipped rom which resest the both the rom and radio, then update prl, flash the radio of you choice which in my case is the telus one, then flash Grooverom.

What benefits do you see for updating prl. I've never done it and I feel like I'm missing out.

does anyone know how to change the theme of this HD rom?? I would like the telus stock or verizon stock, but the cabs from calcu screw the phone up, and fatboys themes over in the HD thread cause the clock to be stuck at 0:00, any answers?

The PRL is basically a list of updated tower information. I forget exactly what it stands for, but it allows your phone to detect new changes in tower locations, therefore giving you better service.

how would I update the PRL? Also hopefully my last question of the day.
I'm using Sprint, if I were to use say telus's radio, would i get charged extra for that?

I have to say, I love it....however I'm sure the slowness is a known issue, and will be resolved. I love the t9 on the full touch keyboard, big bonus. For now, I'm going back to groove3b12.. but this is definitely on my list to get when it is perfected.

you are not charged for using the telus radio. don't worry about that plus it may give you better signal/less heat on the phone during calls and data usage. updating the prl is done through Update Prl in your settings>system tab or it can be done manually. I can track down the instructions for manual installation and get back to you. also, I not sure if groove has update prl activated but it's worth a try through settings. it sometimes takes two attempts to get it to work. you should be updated to 60651 which can be checked thru settings>system tab>device info.
