check this out an oem
Compact QWERTY for EzInput 2.0
FYI, I updated this release as a fully installable CAB and OEM. It now preserves the Phone Keypad as well as adding Compact QWERTY.

Tried this out, it appears it gets rid of the full qwerty? And I cant get multitap to work, only T9. Also, is this un-installable? It didnt appear in my remove programs list....

Hey calcu, not sure if you've seen this, but no2chem made a DynamicClock control program that automatically lowers the CPU speeds when the phone is not in use. It seems like it would help with battery life, though I don't think anyone has tested it thoroughly yet. It does work and I haven't noticed any problems with it. It's easy to shut off and did not use much storage space either. I've attached an OEM made by rjmjr69. Here is the thread in the TP forum with links to the .exe installer (runs from phone) as well as a cab by rjmjr69.

Thanks for the heads up, mwalt... I saw this over at XDA last night and didn't bother to check it, but it sounds great... gonna try it out.

Thanks again.

OK... I just cooked it in and set it up so I probably won't know until tomorrow.

*edit* Initial impression is that there is no impact on performance. It is basically completely transparent that it is on your phone. So, you can set it up one time, back up the registry key, and then forget about it... so really, even if the impact on battery life is minimal, which I obviously can't comment on yet, it seems like it is worth it.

I've got it running as well... just used the basic setup that no2 used on his screen cap.

It does appear that FDC Task Manager does not like nueDynamicClock.
