Re: *UPDATED* [11-24-08] Juicy ROM 3.7.1 [SYS OS 5.2.19972 Build 19972.1.2.7] [UC]

great rom, but was curious about one little thing.

Any thoughts on making the icons more dense when viewing programs/settings? I liked MM's wider scrollbar implementation too.

I found the registry locations and now have the wider scrollbar and 4x5 icons. I made the scrollbar width 20 and used the standard reg hack for 4x5 icons except i made the icon horiz. spacing 110 to account for the wider scrollbar.

20 is larger (13 is default), but not obnoxiously larger imo.

Again, its minor and I can do it myself every ROM, I just think it looks nicer, and the scrollbar is definitely more functional with your finger... Or does it mess up other programs?

Thanks again for all your work.

Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV, PictureMail, S2P, S2U2, Klaxon, icontact, Total Commander, 2nd Today with Weather Panel, Sashimi, Pocket Express, My-Cast Weather, Live Search, Instant Messaging(OZ_IM), G-Watch, Diamond Tweak, Vista Hide Battery indicator.....just everything I throw at it....

You make my Diamond Rock!!!
Just a couple of questions: Does i-contact automatically replace "all people" for contacts? and with 2nd today and weather panel, do you have significantly increased battery drainage? Thanks for your input!

I had the same problem of paying ~$20 for data on the first month I had my phone because of default connections to the phone network data line instead of my wi-fi.

Go start-menu, then select 'settings'. Tap the connections tab then select the 'Connections' icon. Select the 'Advanced' tab then press the 'Select Networks' button. From the drop down list select 'My ISP' instead of "NETWORK" as the default connection method for internet and private network connections. Select 'OK' and it should not connect automatically to the phone company's data connection and look for your wi-fi instead.

It seems to work on my Telus Touch Diamond.

You are gonna get flamed for this question. I would suggest you do some searching on rom preference.

Just a comment... seems like every release adds some cool features but breaks others or removes others. Earlier releases had the Diamond(ified) calculator buttons, the Windows Orb logo, and many other smaller details that keep getting put in and taken out every other release. Are these releases meant to be sequential or parallel?

they are sequential...

if you must know the skinned diamond calc actually uses SPBCalc and replaces the standard WinMo Calc app completely.

As the direction of the ROM was to stay as close to stock as possible, while removing fluff, I opted to remove the pretty bits and let users decide what kind of glitter if any they want to add.

FYI: Nothing is "broken" in 3.7.1 to my knowledge

Thank you Juicy for an incredible ROM! Great job. This release is as good as it gets. I have been testing all the features and so far zero problems. Keep up the great work! =D>

I know I swore against it (atleast for a little while) but I started a new ROM last night.
