Re: [ROM] [May 12] JUICY 7 - Build 090512V (21222.5.0.1) [UC] *Rhodium Manila*

Just wanted to report my experience... I have refrained from making upgrades or changes on my device that would require a soft reset because I wanted to see how stable this ROM runs after a few days w/out a soft reset. I have installed all the programs I want to have and have pretty much wiped out my storage space (only 11MB left on the device). Anyhow, I have been running for over 2 days now w/out a soft reset (using TF3D2 the whole time) and everything is working very well and fast. The only thing I've noticed is that my available RAM is now down between 27-33%.

This is easily the best Diamond rom to date. Most of the bugs and reported errors are from people having no clue what they are doing, or they do not use their phone for professional business purposes and are complaining about stupid sh*t. EVEN WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO MAKE PHONE CALLS FROM MANILA...this is still the best Diamond rom to date.

edit: And honestly, I'm really sick of seeing people complain about stuff that Juicy told you would happen right from the first post.

Which brings me to a question for Juicy, was this easy to do? Or were you merely following the exact same approach that HTC took with the Rhodium device.
very easy to do. my releases mirror what htc is up to on its latest devices/roms.

Seemed like the only issue with Rhoidum manila was SMS longer than 100 chars (plus now you can have TF3d open default message app instead), and world clock (which is fixed by just not opening world clock).... Unless I was missing some other bugs?
forget about calling it topaz/rhodium manila.... the older port of touchflo 3D by XBMod was of an UNFINISHED version. Worldclock was broken becuase HTC didn't have it working, favorite contacts would always dial primary contact numbers even if you hit "home" or "office" because the shortcuts werent available to the new phonecanvas because it hadnt been made yet.

My philosophy is that we will continue to move forward, someone will port the new style dialers and the manila will work once that is in place. there is nothing wrong with this manila.

Re: [ROM] [May 12] JUICY 7 - Build 090512V (21222.5.0.1) [UC] *Rhodium Manila*

Well since I got the ROM working 1 day after release, I needed to sent my 1st text message...

And its a No Go...

Anyone else having problems? I can receive ok, but when i type a message and hit send... the message just disapears, and doesn't even go into the message history.

Any ideas?

2) On the Music tab, the Menu soft key doesn't bring up the menu (anyone else notice this?)

I've noticed these two issues also.

Coming from a newbooty (my first post), I gotta say that the rom is great. I've been using it for the past couple of hours and havent experienced any gfx glitches. Opera does crash when you try to play a youtube video however.
