ok havent seen anyone report yet but i just had my diamond get hotter than i have ever felt before. anyone else? just installed 3.9

Has anyone been experiencing problems with Gps. I know it's not the Rom as i was using 3.4 before and it worked and yesterday and today it does not. I just started 3.9 and tried it out right away on google maps and nothing. Position is ON, updated quick gps? could it be the clouds over Toronto??

I think it was the snow storm we just had.

GPS works fine here in Northern Alberta and it's snowy as hell.

I have a similar situation, slightly. I am able to get GPS on Telus Stock rom but with both juicy 3.7.1 and 3.9 I have been unable to get a signal. Tobeychris suggested trying Sprint settings, but to no avail. So I am still at a loss with this.

Also, in case anyone else is using Live Mesh Mobile. As per my earlier post about it not working with this rom due to the SQL CE version, it seems confirmed from MSFT.

I tried simply using the HTC GPS tool, just to see a single sat light up but got nothing. So naturally same luck with Google and Live.

I'm using a Touch Diamond converted to Verizon (from Sprint). I went through a bunch of steps to get it done... if I flash 3.9 (I'm running 3.7 now) will I have to reconvert to Verizon?

I just got my diamond yesterday. I want to flash it to juicy rom, but im scared of messing up. even if the rom is a success will i still be able to make a call? or will i have to go to alltel and get them to re-activate it?

if the phone is active and you can make calls now ,then it should be fine after you flash
the same goes for the data connection
my advice test your service first make sure your phone is configured right"phone calls are fine""data connection no problem"then flash away
i would download the stock alltel ROM shipped from here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062 as a backup if things went south
follow the same thread for unlocking and locking procedure
