This is not a bug, nor is it a problem that needs fixing. This has been discussed many times before, these applications are purposefully removed. If you think you're "affected" you can install them yourself, or choose a different ROM.

Again, not a bug, it's listed as an update in the change log.

Seeing as the XIP was released the night before, this is most likely the case, it's also possible that it's a change in the SYS which could be fixed much easier. For now, deal with it.

Again, not a bug. The light sensor is finally being used properly. This is the main feature of the light sensor (beside the speaker) that it will turn off the touch screen when close to your ear. You can test it by making a call and leaving the phone in front of you, it won't turn the screen off. Cover the sensor (sometimes the top lets in light too) and it'll turn off within a few seconds.

On Juicy's Telus ROM this works fine. It took a few seconds, but all the photos are there.

If people would actually take the time to find out why things are doing what they're doing, and not just relying on the next update for a small group of people to fix everything, you might not look like you don't know what you're talking about. If you find an error, report it, but then instead of complaining, why not try to help solve the issue, or even search to find that it's not an issue at all?

Just one kitchen builder's $0.02.
For that last one with the pics.. it does NOT work on Sprint. It may be working for telus, but again, it does not for sprint.

to the guy saying that this is not a bug, it certainly is. stock always found pics from the phone's storage after a reformat of the 4gig internal, and always placed the stock pics back into the 4gig internal. Juicy 2.5 found the pictures after a reformat of the 4gig internal as well.

Well i was able to get the calendar link on the home page to link to Thumbcal without using SSMaPa. I created a copy of thumbcal.exe and renamed it calendar.exe. I then moved it to the windows directory and overwrote the original calendar.exe file. I also copied all other thumbcal files to the windows directory. Everything seems to be working great.

Now if i could figure out what All people links to on the people tab. I could link it to icontact. Does anyone have any ideas?

@ TobeyChris

I'm sorry if my post was ignorant. By no means was it meant to be a negative post, i was merely compiling what everyone was saying regarding bugs over the last many pages because i noticed quite a few repeat questions.

I'm sorry again if it didn't come across as i had meant it to.

Okay I switched to Juicy 2.6 from Sprint stock yesterday and my photos are showing up fine. Interestingly, before the photos were stored in /My Documents/My Pictures/ and now they are storing in /DCIM/100MEDIA/.

So it is storing the picture in a new folder (with a new NAMING scheme even! IMAG0001 vs IMAGE_001). But TF3D is showing content from both folders.

And ideas on the why the change? Is it a Telus vs Sprint base thing?

Thanks!

jesus....

for the last and final time, THE PICTURES ARE READ FROM THE INTERNAL MEMORY CARD WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM

if you do clear storage of BOTH your card and the phone, the stock pictures are lost!

they are supposed to be read from the /windows folder after hard resets, but they are not. the stock pictures are still in the /windows folder, but the app is unable to find them! the stock rom finds the stock pictures from the /windows folder after a clear storage of BOTH 4gig internal and the phone.

Juicy 2.5 and below found the stock pictures from the windows folder, after a complete hard reset of BOTH PHONE AND MEMORY CARD

That is what my post SAID. I said it could read both folders on the INTERNAL MEMORY, but after flashing to Juicy 2.6 it is recording the photos to a new folder, with a new naming scheme and was WONDERING WHY.

NO NEED TO YELL WHEN YOU DON'T READ THE POST IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Thank you

*** HARD RESET***
Just wanted to follow up on my post, and response from earlier today about hard reseting.

I have confirmed that the VOL DOWN, CENTER BUTTON, and TOP BUTTON do in fact hard reset our Diamonds.
This has also been verified by a friend (thanks JM).

On a side note............
Juicy, THANK YOU. Your work is invaluable to this community. I know that people sometimes whine and cry about things in the rom, not in the rom, or whatever. Please do not let that get you down. I am positive that there are a ton more happy people in here with what you (and the folks around you) have done than the couple that choose the whine about some things.

Sorry for ranting, just wanted to get that out in the open, and say publicly, THANK YOU!
