I wanted to see how much difference there was in the video so I installed Diamond Hologram. This app worked very smoothly in 2.5 but it is very very slow in 2.6. Anyone else see this as well?

I went back to 2.5, I think 2.5 just runs so much smoother right now, until they tweak 2.6 and weed out all the bugs. That is expected with all the stuff added to this ROM. I commend Juicy for all his hard work and want to send a few bucks his way, Any paypal yet Juicy?

Maybe some people just aren't re-installing correctly. The guys that are having such random issues should try:

1 - Hard Reset your phone
2 - Let that first hard reset finish completely (no matter if your on Stock ROM or Juicy 2.5)
3 - Plug in the phone for active sync or windows mobile device center to detect it.
4 - Flash 2.6 with the RUU
5 - Wait for the entire flash and first boot up process to finish
6 - Hard Reset again and let all the customizations finish.

This will guarantee you have a fully fresh install. For me I flashed the VZW radio right after flashing Juicy's 2.6 wich performed the 2nd hard reset for me and I've seriously had NO ISSUES with 2.6 except for the landscape issues.

just did that. We'll see if it actually works.

YAY!!! Actually I did notice some backlight issues when it would stay dimmed and I'd have to turn it off and on again to get bright. So seeing as 2.7 will already fix this and revert to the older XIP to fix the landscape issues I'm guessing 2.7 will stay on for a very long time unless you make some other ungodly major release that makes my Diamond pop out a kitchen sync and a robotic arm that shaves me while I read my e-mails on the mail tab in TF3D.

Bug Report:

After backing up contacts with the included PIM Backup, when trying to send a text message after selecting a contact from the contact app, you get "one or more recipients is recognized as invalid...send anyway?" messages send fine if you click on yes, however


..and yes i am coming off a completely fresh install, and completely fresh hard reset. all i did was type in contacts manually, back them up, and tried to send a text message

Again, not a bug. The light sensor is finally being used properly. This is the main feature of the light sensor (beside the speaker) that it will turn off the touch screen when close to your ear. Tobey... thanks for the point by point on all these issues.

I just wanted to mention, not trying to second guess, but the phone sleeping issue I mentioned is that the phone automatically goes to sleep after about 3 seconds after a call comes in, regardless of the position of the phone. I posted a cab a few pages back that I used to shut this off. This isn't the same as the light sensor feature you mentioned is it? Previously, I had used diamond tweak to shut off the "sleep" and "fast sleep" during a call, but those tweaks didn't work in the 2.6 rom.

Again... not trying to second guess... you are the guru and I am just a end user... I was just hoping to clarify in case this was something going on in the rom that had changed and wasn't supposed to.

I'm not sure if I want to overwrite the original file tho. I kind of want to keep it around and have SSMAPA work like it used to. I wish that program was still being developed. There are no other solutions, that I have found, that do what it does.
