Wow, critique is sometimes acceptable but complaining is a whole new ball game. If anyone wants to see a bunch of complainers/whiners for a product they got for free, I know where to go. Juicy's thread.

Guys, seriously, if I was Juicy, I'd have my fists through the monitor and/or say "F*CK you people!" and leave. For good. No thanks to Juicy at all for releasing version after version, but definitely lots of lines after lines to complain how this doesn't work and how that should have worked. I understand you feel like complaining/making it known that something doesn't work, but atleast do it properly, like try to help or something. If you can't work with it, simply drop it for that period, use another ROM. Remember, every chef uses their own ROM. So almost 9 out of 10 bugs they WILL come across. No one needs to mention it. It gets irritating when one after another comes in to simply say how something is not working.

I'm saddened by this state of affairs. Ugh!

The only post that got me upset was that I should have created a proper beta program lol

I cant forecast compatability with 3rd party apps or for other carriers, if it doesnt work report it. I will try and fix it. Once again this is all for free, so please manage your expectations. I am not your personal tech support, but do appreciate that the MAJORITY of users have been very friendly and helpful throughout my stay at PPCG

It's not about doing it wrong, Tobey. It is working differently for me than it used to. Your instructions do not work for me at all though it did until yesterday. Doing this brings me (and at least one other user) to the boot loader screen with no other options for doing the hard reset. The only method that works for me now is turning the phone off, then POWER + VOLDWN + ENTER. Again, I don't know why it isn't working for me anymore, but that doesn't mean that something odd is not going on or that it is caused by user error.

Hey Juicy I'm an IT manager and working on my PPC has become sort of a hobby as well (I've only had a PPC for about a month). If you need someone to help you out like Juggs does I'm more than willing to get deeper into the ropes of cooking ROMs and helping out. Add me up to msn!

I feel kinda bad for reporting some bugs now. My intent was not to sound like I was complaining. I just thought it was contributing to the development from an end user perspective.

It's not surprising at all that there were a few bugs with 2.6, it was a huge and ambitious release. It would be more surprising if there weren't a few bugs.

I hope that the massive amounts of praise for his work stick with Juicy more than the occaisional complaint or bug report.

I don't see much complaining here. I see people reporting issues and making suggestions. I think we all realize that this is the bleeding edge and it's a community effort..

Juicy - I think you are doing a great job. Although some people might not say it because all they do it complain, we do appreciate your hard work and everything you do for the community.

Some people have nothing better to do than *****.

I don't think you have done anything wrong by explaining bugs you have encountered or will do anything wrong in continuing to do so. It is more the people that come in and complain about teal bars when they can look 1 page, 2 pages, 3 pages, 4 pages back and find the same post in every one of them including a reference to the fix. I figure if Juicy can devote hours making a free rom, people can spend 10 minutes to look through the last 20 pages and figure out if something has been discussed.

No need to say sorry, just thought that your post could get very insulting and that some people could take major offense to it. You don't want to create an environment where people start saying who's 'better' and alienate others who may be doing great work.
