Try the Diamond Unlocker from this Sticky
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062
It is for all CDMA diamonds. It will change the wording on your BootLoader screen from something like DIAM500 to CYMONEX. Then try your custom ROM again.

I ran the shipped ROM from Bell for a couple weeks and Juicy's ROM for a couple of months with no ringer issue. Problems with the Ringer started when I installed MightyROM4.8.

Unhappy is their a definate MMS fix?

I have searched the post and had no luck with any of the possible fixes for MMS on my Alltel Diamond, I couldn't even get the arcsoft MMs to install properly. Maybe you all can help... Thanks in advance and sorry in advance for missing it if it's someone hidden in the threads

Re: [ROM] [MAY.04.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN

Here is my testimony for the ringer issue:

I used Sprint ROM with my phone for about a month before joining you flashers. I have only tried MightyROMs. I started with 4.6.

I did not experience the ringer problem until 4.7....and then again on 4.8. (For those that dismiss this as a minor issue I have to assume you spend most of your time on your couch playing with your PS3.)

I stored my ringers in the application data\sounds folder and not in "internal storage"

I have never used Bluetooth for headsets, BUT I used Bluetooth for Activesync on both 4.7 and 4.8.

I have been on R3ORN for a week now and was unsuccessful getting Bluetooth-Activesync to work this time around for some reason, so I just gave up for now.

I have not had the ringer problem yet on R3BORN, and I have been using my custom ringtones as I was before.

I can't believe the problem would be specifically bluetooth-activesync, but there is certainly more evidence to make me think the ringer problem is related to bluetooth.

Ineterestingly, in my struggles with 4.7 and 4.8 I reflashed several times and did hard resets and even flashed back to Sprint ROM.

I actually DID have the ringer bug present itself before I had even installed anything new on my phone after one of the resets to 4.7 or 4.8

It may have already been suggested, but I think someone should use their phone on R3BORN without using bluetooth at all....and see if the bug shows up. Perhaps those that have stated not using bluetooth headsets also did not use bluetooth to sync, but I sure hope they did.

Okay, I volunteer! Even though I have messed with Bluetooth a little to try to get it working with Activesync....I have given up on that and I havent done anything with it since....nor has the bug appeared.

I will post if the bug appears again

Mighty, just wanted to say I love the update for both the TP and Diamond, they both have been been working great for me.

Keep up the hard work.

Thanks everyone for their input on the ring thing. It'd sure be great to put this to rest.

Originally with the stock ROM, did you use BT headsets, and did you use BT with ActiveSync?

Were you using BT with ActiveSync pre-4.6?

Was this with the stock ROM or MR?

I wonder what that's about...

Maybe it hasn't been long enough to manifest itself, or, maybe since you BT/ActiveSync pairing failed now the problem doesn't exist because the BT profile didn't take.

I guess that would mean that when you flashed back to stock something was leftover from the MR flash, and that something is our culprit?

Maybe others can chime in, if your running MR4.7/8 or R3BORN and do NOT have the ringer problem, please state if you're using or have tried to use BT w/ActiveSync or are using or have tried to use BT headsets. I don't currently use BT w/AS now but I HAVE tried it with MR4.7, and I have several BT headset profiles active. ...and I have the ringer problem frequently. And, are you using TouchLockPro? (I still suspect it.)

Everyone, please keep the info flowing so we can get this figured out.
...my head hurts...

Heres how to get MMS working on your Alltel Diamond. It took me awhile to figure it out also.
First install the attached carrier cab then softreset
Then install the attached Arcsoft cab then soft reset.
Then your done.

...my head hurts...
I dont currently have any BT connected, no profiles added or anything. I DO NOT have the ringer issue right now. Now I am afraid to add my BT. I remember before I got the issue on 4.8, I was driving to the store and saw my headset in my car and thought I should pair it. I tried and it wouldnt allow me to pair, correct all 0 passcode, it saw the device but I got nothing. I gave up and didnt try again, then I got the ringtone problem. Not saying it is related exactly but now that I think about it, it is kinda fishy.

Not using Touchlock pro, and never have used it.

I am now using Manila Today Page which I freaking love so far, with my WeatherPanel, RSS, and SPB Diary in TF3D (thanks to Atomic for pointing this one out)...not ringtone related just had to throw that in.
