Is there anyway that you can restore "use unicode when necessary" option for sms? I really need it. I love your rom though

I know I don't have any clout on this forum, but I just want to make a suggestion/request.

Please remove the Tsowen Taskbar cab from the first page of this thread, because I am quite sure it is what was causing the "no ringing" problem I was experiencing on my phone. I uninstalled that app and my problem vanished immediately and has not returned.

I'm not saying that this applies to everyone else experiencing a similar problem, but for those of you whose phones don't ring, if you have Tsowen Taskbar installed just uninstall it and see if your problem clears up. I do not have a My Ringtones folder so I don't think it is neccessary.

*** UPDATE ***
It wasn't the taskbar mod. I've been running without it for awhile now, made no changes to my phone, and sure enough my "no ringing" problem re-appeared. If I navigate to Phone>Menu>Options and try to use a *.wma ringer (ex: "Ring-Stardard") I get "The ring tone file is corrupted or unavailable. If I select a *.wav ringer (ex: "Alarm-Beeps") it works fine. I did a soft-reset and after that I could use "Ring-Standard" again, but I have a feeling it'll goof again sooner or later.

agreed, same exact situation fo me. There appears to be more that has to be installed with his taskbar than just the cab if i'm readig his thread correctly.

My 2¢. For everyone that is blaming the Tsowen Taskbar, I was having the "no ring" problem on 4.8 without having it installed.
I tried the "setting the system volume to vibrate first....." fix and it's been working so far.

i'm not sure if this has been addressed but

whenever i run galarm all night it seems that in the morning after, when i try to send a text message, there is no keyboard. Also, the start menu does not respond or get displayed. I'm running 4.7 as this issue happened in 4.8 as well. I have to soft reset in order for everything to work properly.
Any ideas?
