Re: [09/14/08] JUICY ROM v1.09

I am currently using 1.07, and I see that v1.1 is around the corner and in 1.09 you made the "long press end key" default to lock device. I was wondering is there any chance of having the lock default to the password lock rather then the unsecure lock. I have my phone set to password lock after 30 minutes of non-use, but it would be handy to quickly password lock the phone when I am leaving my desk and the phone is charging. Currently, I have to change the timeout period to 0 to lock it immeditely (hope all this makes sense).

I also followed tobeychris's instructions for GPSOne Settings on the Official Telus Diamond Thread - I couldn't make my GPS work. I am going to retry the instructions (cause it is possible I missed a step); however, I was wondering were there any known issues with those instructions or with GPS settings and the Juicy ROMs.

Finally, if you need additional testers - I would be happy to volunteer.

Thanks in advance

Re: [09/14/08] JUICY ROM v1.09

Hey guys, ran the new Rom last night 1.09. So far so good. I am having a couple minor issues, but still very happy with it. FYI: the battery does die pretty quickly. about 6 hours with full charge. (downloading emails every 30 min)

thx for all the help, Mighty, Jug and Juicy...

I just open the back of my Diamond, and there it is!

But seriously folks. I had a full charge at 5:30am. Since then, I've received 15 to 20 e-mails through my Exchange connection, and had about 30 minutes of calls. It's currently 4pm, and I'm sitting at 57% battery.

One thing I have done is drain the battery down entirely to the point that the unit shut itself off. I found that trying to drain the last 10 to 20% of the battery took FOREVER, so I'm going on the theory that the battery/software needed to have a complete cycle to learn how much was left. But really, I'm just making that up.

I'm on the 1.08 ROM.

Clint

I am finding the battery drain is pretty bad too. I wonder why with this ROM?

Re: [09/14/08] JUICY ROM v1.09

As a quick note, I just upgraded to 1.09 last night and charged the phone to 100%. I touched nothing after the flash besides a soft-reset (just in case) and went to bed.

I woke up this morning (about 6.5 hours later) and the phone had died and shut off during that time.

Again, I really appreciate your efforts guys!
