Re: [3/27/2010] MikROM [Sense 2.5 | 21897 / 23551 | Lite & Standard Versions]

I'm not a noob, but I'm stumped on how to extract these zip files. I've tried all March 27th versions and every one of them comes up with an unspecified error extracting. I've tried windows extract and winrar.

Any tips would be great

Try downloading and installing 7zip from the link below, it should work. WinZip also works to extract MikROM 3-27.

http://www.7-zip.org/

Best to all,

Your welcome SKullman.

On a related note, lol..., 23551 Std has been working great here. Plus, the added home screen XTask softkey on bottom start bar is a must have for 6.5.x. Thanks again amikam!

What software are you using to extract the MikROM lite version? Also, which lite version is it, 6.5 or 6.5.5? Normally WinRAR works here, but I think amikam changed the compression format last update. If 7zip or WinZip is not working, maybe amikam changed the format back for the lite version. If that's the case, try WinRAR.

Hope this helps,
R

Question Re: [3/27/2010] MikROM [Sense 2.5 | 21897 / 23551 | Lite & Standard Versions]

Hi AmiKAM, best wishes for your exams,
I have no clue what kitchen use today the HTC DIAMOND CDMA developers as you,
but XDA hightlighted this one, is new UI Visual Kitchen:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=628948
-----------------------------------------
Also I have read their is FULL transparent, SEMI transparent and not transparent for taskbar and Softkey row for WM builds higher or equal (6.1, 6.5)
adjust transparency from 0x00 to 0xFF, where 0x00 is a maximum transparency (shell don't show bars), 0xFF is a no transparency (normal);
0x80 is a medial level of transparency.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=647579
.
---------------------------------
EDIT:
AmiKAM,
Everything OK with the last TEST version??? upppsss mistake "copy paste" = like in the attachment image???
-----------------------------------------------
Anyone know a hack to show TIME and Battery ICON in taskbar in WM6.5 sys21xxx
like in the attachment image?????

thanks for your concern.
ok, so...
i know that kitchen... i would like to stick to what i got now though...
about the trans... thats where i got the tweak to begin with.. it is set to x20 or x10 in the roms... not x00... and u would still have to do what i've done with the cab anyways... so it won't work without canceling the pngs for taskbar and soft key.
i'm not really trying to use s2w skin... i was only thinking about using some of his ideas and/or incorporate some of his actual skin elements. but what u got going looks nice... but the size is a little off, and if im not wrong the slider icons are in really bad quality.
my plan is to add a background to the clock, change the slider to white icons with reflections, change background and from what i can see i kinda like the taskbar icons u got... so a link to them would be nice (thanks).
so far i haven't been able to find a clear slider that will show the day on the calendar without an overlap... so i might skip the clear slider.
im open to suggestions on the background... if u find something cool that will work and look cool, let me know.

They look pretty good, so I make a compilation, of the ideas sound good to me.
I use photoshop to merge a couple of his themes.
Just some ideas to the air, or just let my mind flow and speak free, let see if someonme is good (you like it):
1 .- Taskbar: a) Battery notification on Left with % number, b) Digital clock on the Right (instead of Battery icon), c) some of your already taskbar icons
2.- Clock: a) I put 4 option that look good. Anyway the "window mirror reflex" if it is not over the number lost all the ilusion of a Glass, so instead of a "Window mirror reflex can just a point glow or something that can be stay over the numbers, so keep the Glass effect (simulation).
3.- Date-Alarm, Last Call, and Calendar with black or semiblack background
4.- Slider, I like black or red icons, I also Like the shadow for the Icons when transparent backgroud. mmm and the notification number can be just a big number with color but without a backgroud or without inside that complex imagen S2W do.
I also think the "Window mirror reflex" on the slider are to much.
with just the Frame or with just iluminate or change from black to red is enought for the icons.
5.- Bottom row for softkey, your actual background or plain black or transparent.
I attach the screens. YOU can zoom it (image is 1615x960 pixeles), after I finish photoshop I realize they were for tp2 (480x800px) so the "quickaccess link" row has to be cut for our diamonds, as the last image I put.
