Based on advice here I just ran through the self-service process again and now it's offering me a Touch Pro. So, for those that actually have issues and want a Touch Pro rather than a refurbished Mogul, keep trying.

placed order Tues day night. said that i must email customer service. Tried again 9am Wed morning. Said i would be getting touch Pro. 4:22pm EST today i received a brand new out of box Touch Pro, with additional battery. They must have bad batteries if they ship out 2.
Any how, just happy to get one.
So for those who failed, try again may get lucky.
BTW this was through Sprint Web site not Ausiran

Also did anyone who tried this and didnt have anything wrong with there Mogul after return, get charged??

did it first say u were getting a Mogul and then stated TP?

Just ordered my replacement. It says I will be recieving a Touch Pro. I have loved my Mogul, but I was coming from a Fusic to a Mogul and they were worlds apart. I have been having problems with my keys and charging issues.

I got my fingers crossed that nothing gets messed up.

actually it said contact Sprint 1-800#, that was late at night, like 1am. When i tried again it i was successful. Replaced Mogul with Touch Pro

Just tried for my Mogul and it said they're sending me a pro. Im assuming the defect reason you provide is subject to review so we'll what happens. thanks guys for listing the site to go for the self request.=D>=D>=D>

For me, nearly 14 hours. But then it arrived the next day from when I submitted it (early am west coast)

okay haha i was getting scared because i thought my order didnt go through or sometime. hopefully i get it tomorrow morning too. i ordered mines around 1220 this afternoon.

i just received my touch pro from ups. i did the online advance exchange, they sent me an extra battery! yay! im so excited!!! :) not kicking a gift horse in the mouth or anything but i think i may miss the hardware buttons from the mogul, im so used to them. ive had the PPC-6600(harrier) then the 6700 then the 6800 (mogul) and now the touch pro yay. wonder what the next flagship PPC for sprint is going to be.

yayyy touch pro comingggg! loved the mogul but too many issues. as for the whole be honest if your trading in your mogul...

sprint/htc screwed us htc owners from the getgo. it took dcd/no2chem and all of the other cookers to make our devices actually work properly so they get what they deserve.

how ironic is it i got a freetxt from sprint tonight saying picmail is now available on the mogul lol...a little behind the times i guess but ironic in the least.

Just got the confirmation email what is the escalation email to check on the status of the order? My mogul has been having some issues with wifi.

If you go to a sprint store and point out your defects, could you lobby for any phone? Is the fact that these phones are more customizable what makes them attractive? I have read every single post in this thread. Would you trade for a BB Curve if you could? Keyboard, SD slot, Reliable OS. No wifi is a big drawback, but I have SERO so it doesn't matter. You wouldn't need the Blackberry data service if you don't use exchange servers... Why not? Someone point out my flawed logic please. Otherwise it's a curve for me..... My mogul has all the common symptoms so I could go either way.

update!! i did the self advance exchange on sunday, it said i was getting the tp. when ups arrived with my package i was excited until i opened the box. IT WAS A MOGUL. YUCK! so dont count on the self exchange, MOGULS are back in stock. I ended up buying one off ebay (tp) and i do have to say great phone but the speaker volume sucks (voice calls, speaker phone, and ringer) ! anyone else have this problem?

I hope that doesnt happen to me. The self exchange thing said i was going to get a TP too.

I finally got my Touch Pro (on Wednesday) and I've spent quite a bit of time using it. I think I might be a new convert as much as I thought I wouldn't be...

It was a new in box with all the normal trimmings (minus the extra battery some have mentioned). Mine was shipped from Assurion as a replacement for the Mogul they sent me with a broken keyboard.

The difference betwen the TP and Mogul are almost as big as night and day, but since this thread isn't dedicated to that topic I won't stray.

I'll just say thanks to Assurion and Sprint!

Went to the Sprint store this evening because Wi-Fi has never worked on my Mogul. The tech did a hard reset even though I told him I did one yesterday. After the reset Wi-Fi still didn't work. Paid $55.00 and received new Touch Pro. Pretty cool.

I was reading my confirmation e-mail last night and noticed something odd:

"- Note: In addition to the charges above, Sprint reserves the right to charge an
additional fee of $75-$125 for phones that are found to either be damaged beyond
repair or exhibit no sign of defect."

That makes NO sense. If the phone is damaged beyond repair why should I have to pay an additional fee. Isn't that the point of getting a replacement for a broken phone. It's not my problem if they can't refurbish it.

Basically they are saying, if you use the phone replacement to receive a new phone and they check your old phone and it is not defective, they reserve the right to charge you between $75-$125. So if everyone whos using the system just to get a T Pro and nothing is wrong with your phone, expect a charge. Either way the charge they are charging you is still a good deal for a pro, unless you are a new customer.. and i still think the 125$ is still cheaper.

You missed the point of my post. I'm specifically referring to the part that states:

Yea i see your point of the post. damage beyond repair, that title can fall into many catregories. Maybe if your phone is beat up, screws lose, cracked screen, wires dangling, maybe what they call damage beyond repair. Knowing sprint who knows.

got my touch pro yesterday and i love it, it looks so much smaller but its not really, just not as wide. i too am going to miss all the hardware buttons like wifi and the wheel scroll, but i will get used to it, glad to get rid of that mogul so many dumb problems w/ it. this one should be better. good luck to everyone else!

How do i track my order? They gave me an ESXXXXX but what website do i go to? I went to Self Service Phone Replacement and said i'm getting a TP. I order it last night around 8pm.

my reason if it helps or matters i gave is "The hinge connecting screen and qwerty is broken and i am unable to text or use the phone correctly"

hey guys im gettin ready to leave for work but wanted your opinions on something.... i have been having a problem with dropped calls and when i went to the self service site that was one of the options. i then got a confirmation email stating that if no defects were found i could be charged, this isnt exactly something a tech can force to duplicate. how theroughly can they check something like this?

It's unclear. I listed all the issues I was having in the "other info" box - white spot, lagging keyboard, Rotate Of Death, dropped calls, hung gps, bluetooth dropping, random resets, etc.

All of those things happen on mine, with some randomness. The White Spot On Screen is visible to anyone. Its up to Sprint, who knows if/what they check. Just be sure to mail it back after a hard reset (and flash to stock/relock if you're not stock)

Mine hung during the bootup after hard reset. I think its pissed that it got replaced ;)
