I kept getting on the Self Service Phone Replacement page until it showed the TP kit as the replacement phone. I had been trying for 3-4 days at various times of the day (kept showing the mogul as replacement phone), but it finally gave me the TP on the Thursday.

My tracking shows it to be 2.20 lb and set for delivery on Monday.

Time to do some research on the TP.

Whats the difference from from it saying Touch Pro kit and PPC 6850 the shipping weight is 2.20 lbs what does that mean

2.20 lbs is the weight of the phone.
The PPC 6850 is the model name of the Touch Pro.
There will be no difference between Touch Pro kit and it saying PPC 6850.

Same thing. PPC 6850 IS a Touch Pro.

I just got a TP trade for my mogul from sprint phone replacement no fee.

Return Instructions:

Well after 4 days of trying I finally got offered a tp. i took the offer @ 4:50pm today.

I know a few of us want to know how to do this for free... and I'm determined to try to find a way...

So far, like I said, using Assurion online, won't even let you choose a 6800 as your phone to replace. So... I went to the local store and they said, as long as they didn't have a 6800 in the back, that Assurion has been giving replacement TPs. Only catch is, there is a 95.00 deductible.

Am I missing anything or does anyone has any other suggestions?

This is where to go to track your shipment if you haven't received your tracking number in an e-mail yet. You have to wait @ least 24hrs after placing the ad ex w/sprint for it to show up on the ups site to check.

Enter your ET***** OR E****** number and edit the dates to match your shipment add your country and zip. Wala tracking info.

Mine has not posted yet but i have only had my order placed for a few hours and it is a Saturday. I will probably get my phone b4 i can track it. Monday, Or Tuesday. Placed the ADV EX @ 4:50pm 2day

Well, I just tried again. I'm having some legit issues with all my replacements. This is #3, and this one freezes every now and then (once or twice a day) when you slide out the keyboard. I was going to keep it figuring at least it won't freeze up in my pocket, but at the advice of others just tried again. Let's see what happens.

lol...sprint just replaced my 6700 day before yesterday with a Mogul after replacing the 6700 three times since last July...It took three weeks for me to get the Mogul because they were on back order. Even after all the problems I had in a seven month period they wouldn't upgrade me to a diamond or pro...some people just get all the luck. I have been checking out the Diamond for a while, I just might get one.

So here's my story. I posted a few days ago saying i was getting replacement mogul. No biggie.

Well I have 2 moguls in my household. Both not working correctly. Early this morning, I did the phone replacement on sprint for the other one. Got a Touch Pro.

On to the replacement phone I got on Friday. The mogul Sprint sent me was broken. Can't hear, and the top of the mogul is seperating from the bottom. I got in touch with sprint, they said call Asurion. I did a claim online and then had to call to finish it. The woman says, we are out of stock on the mogul so we are going to send you a Touch Pro.

All I can say is thank you!

break the usb port and send it in.... (its not charging) that was one problem with mine.. i had accidentally kicked the cord getting up and ripped the phone across the room and the port was kinda screwed... just in time too.. go figure.

I just completed an AE for my mogul, it kept locking up on me (of course it will on a stock rom) and they are sending me a TP. thanks for the heads up.

Hmmm... I have a white spot as well, and this is my fourth mogul... Besides getting tired of holding this brick up to my head. Only thing, the Sprint store in my area has replaced mine twice within the past two weeks,... and they had them in stock... I'm hoping just to run them out. Praying for a TP!!!:violent2:

So, I want to do this upgrade, but i originally bought a Motorola Q and then bought an HTC Mogul 5 months later to replace it and registered it with sprint online? Just wondering because, I noticed on the terms of agreement that it has to be under the total care plan or something like that or else i'll be billed extra. what do i do?

It will cost $55. Just put the info into the self-serve site, and see what they propose. You will have a chance to decline.

im wondering since sprint screwed up and lied to me if i can get a second pro. i called them after i had ordered a replacement and they couldnt find my order(i was freakin). so they made another and promised a touch pro as originally intended.. ok... so later that day i just so happen to get a package from sprint and its the lost ordered pro.... ha. then a few days later i recieve another (i had to sign for this one) and its another refurbed, crapped out mogul.. the screen has all these colored little bright spots and no back cover.. wtf.. not only did the bi*tch at sprint lie to me and send me the wrong one... but they sent me a sh*t phone.. and the pro isnt even in the system as being sent.. i think i may have 2 tps 8)

technically you didn't get your 2nd tp as they promised you. 3 phones, not bad

true, but if i call sprint and im like wtf is this.. and tell them they said id get a pro. theyll most likely(probably not) send me another pro. idk.. well see..

I was freaking out myself once I called Sprint and they couldn't locate the order. A few hours later I got a shipping email saying I was getting my Touch Pro :mrgreen:

OK so here's the deal...

I started with an LG Rumor... pos
Got on Craigslist and found my htc 6800 for 75 bucks...
Bought it...
Windows button and down button on D pad didnt work
Sprint Retail ordered me a new/refurb phone
An even bigger pos...bad screen etc...
Sprint changed out to another 6800 nothing really wrong but a white spot on the screen...

I called Sprint...
I told them " That the phone turns off on its own... blah blah blah"
They said that it'd be 50 bucks to get a refurb phone told em I didnt have 50 bucks they said the best they could do was put it on my acct and I could pay later... I said fine.....
But then they transfered me to Asurion who said that I had to pay up front....
I disconected the call...

I called Sprint back...
And Nicely explained the ongoing issues...
They credited my acct for the 50 bucks, and then credited it again for another 50 bucks for the inconvience...

And now I will have a Touch Pro sent to my house with all the goodies within the next few days free of charge!!!! Woot Woot...:headbang:

Now if anyone can direct me to the Touch Pro cab file to allow me to tether the touch pro to my laptop since I'm on the Simply Everything Plan, and that's the only internet I have...

This is Awesome... Happy Birthday to me...

i went to sprint with a "broken" 6900 they couldnt fix it they said they would have to order a new phone...i got a freaking brand new 6900 again...oh well at least its new....regional thing maybe. good luck

My brother recently tried this out yesterday after I referred him to this thread.

He got a Touch Pro kit too. However, he was wondering if he has to send back the Mogul's battery for the return kit or the phone only. He wanted to use the battery to see if he can get another Touch Pro battery from his local Sprint store.

just hold for a while man i got a replacement mogul cause i needed a phone then when i got the mogul i just called in said i had a problem with my mogul and then the Representative said "im sorry about that sir im going to upgrade you to a Touch Pro" wa la lol

I reported a non-responsive touch screen, sticking buttons, and a broken button. Anyone ever get billed if the phone isn't as defective as one led them to believe?

I had to physically call-in, because the online system wouldn't take my order... saying i had swapped out too often.

When I called in, they said I would get a BRAND NEW 6800(Mogul). How's that possible? It seems really strange to me that if they don't have Mogul's they're sending TPs, but I of all people get a rep who says, I'll not only get you a Mogul, but a New Mogul (which I thought would be even less likely to be on hand).
