Wow. That sucks. Good news is, you can see *exactly* what they are proposing to ship. Keep checking back, apparently (when I was skimming this topic yesterday) it happened before as well that they "offered" a mogul. Then, later, it was back to the TP. Just try again later, and when it does say

just made a call and they offered me a reconditioned mogul

if only i had seen this topic earlier yesterday, i could've been celebrating tomorrow. hopefully
there will be another boom of TP offers.

I took mine in to a sprint store today and showed them the issue with the USB port and after some wheeling and dealing I got them to upgrade me to a brand new Touch Pro (the retail box) for free I should have it Monday or Tuesday

Just tried the claim from the Nextel link and got offered another Mogul.

I guess I'll try again another time or try to find time and make it up to the store to see what they can offer me.

Used the sprint link tuesday night and was offered a touch pro. Checked the UPS tracking today and it says out for delivery, 3.4 lbs. Working is going to be tough this afternoon.

Touch Pro was waiting for me when I got home NIB with extra battery in the shipping box!

So after first recieving a refurb mogul from Asurion, I just recieved the TP they promised me. And sprint credited me the $50, but I don't think Asurion is even charging me because they sent me the wrong phone in the first place. So now I'm off to a store to see if I can get an extra battery and screen protectors.

Used this trick and now 3 people I know have swapped for the touch pro. Thank the lord for this easy replacement process.

New in box TP. Extra battery in bottom of external shipping box + return mailer.

Everyone that was upgraded may want to check their plan because I noticed my Unlimited Txt Messaging add-on for $5 was deleted from my account because the add-on can not be used with the phone (so this customer care rep says). I am on the line right now with Sprint to sort this mess out...if its not one thing its another...

And just so everyone knows... I work for sprint and if you come to the store, we will backorder a mogul for you... call asurion and tell them you need it now, and they will send out a new tp... hope this helps!

Ok, this morning it was still telling me my replacement would be a REC Mogul, but now is showing the Touch Pro kit....but the next screen says:

3.4lbs is the package everyone has been reporting as the TP. Call or e-mail Sprint to get a confirmation on exactly what that is.

I put the Case/Plastic thing, and in the Additional problems box I indicated that it's the USB/charging port inside tab thing that's broken, and also that it occasionally spontaneously reboots.... Does that make a difference?

I just want to say this isn't a trick, this is meant for the people who have real issues with their phone. Now that everyone who has a mogul and wants a "free" upgrade are doing it, people with real issues are getting stuck with another mogul.

If you don't have a true problem with the phone, don't use this. It hurts everyone else.

Just went back in, and instead of the above, just chose the Phone Powers Off and On, and now it says I can get the TP and "You have saved $55.00 plus applicable taxes under enrollment in the Equipment Service & Repair Program. "

i just called asurion and they said that i would be receiving a new mogul, not the TP, so CA people make sure you double check. I actually do have issues, phone turns off/on it's own and my voice record button is broken. Just a heads up

I emailed the other people also an when I called sprint trying to get my tracking info on the phone. She said she couldn't find the info on the shipping so I ask if I should order it again and she said yes I got them to put a note on my account that if I order again I won't get charged

I had issues as well, and was living with them. Doing the swap request via the website, not asurion, is a no-human way to check for a TP exchange. If its offered, take it, If not it will say so so just don't accept it and return to living with your mogul issues and try again later.

It's always a crapshoot - if you are doing an exchange, you get the same thing, or if they are out of them, you get what they have that meets the specs.

I have no concerns that the issues I reported will be reproducible on my return, as they happen for me right after a hard reset.
