I have to chime in that this does work. I just got two TP's today using the first link on the second page on the 19th. It did take a couple calls and emails to get someone at Sprint to confirm the email confirmation. I will admit I did go through a back and forth with Asurion and Sprint before I got a little fed up and contacted the Retention department but they did see the replacement claim finally. It would seem that the linnk works but takes a few days to process to the point where Sprint can actually see it when you call because the link sends the claim request straight to the warehouse first. Once they process it, then it goes to billing and other departments. So if you call as soon as you complete the fields at the Self Service link no one you talk to at Sprint's CS will have access to see anything. So if you use this method, don't call Asurion right off since the claim doesn't go to them.
Here's hoping they can re-create the keyboard and freeze up issues with my 6800's and not charge me for both phones.

i know i have already thanked orioinsbuckle but i would like to thank him again! I just got off the phone w/ asurion and after having to send them some affidavit thing to verify my claim they called me back and the lady was like, "we have processed your claim and we are ordering you a replacement phone". i thought ohhh no i am getting another refurbed mogul for the second time. Asurion lady, "...and i am happy to inform you that you are getting the upgraded 6850 Touch Pro!" Me, "Oh really, what type of features does that have?" "well everything your old phone had and more", she said. Me, "well does it have a keyboard cuz i have to have a keyboard." Asurion, "oh yea of course it does, and you will be receiving it in 1-2 days, and you can track it on phoneclaim.com." i was obviously effing w/ her i know what a touch pro has. so i am really excited, and now that pretty much everyone here's got one what do you think? oh and if i log in to phoneclaim.com is that how i track it, i know i read soemwhere in this big a** thread that you had to go through a process to track your package.

I read about this on another site, but thought I'd share here. I filled out the form Monday night around midnight, and got my Touch Pro replacement today via UPS. There was also a 2nd battery laying in the corner of the box! Score!

Now to flash a stock ROM into my mogul and send it back... What do I need to send? Just the phone and battery? The power cord also?

Hmmm... a friend at work just got his TP thru this process yesterday, so I decided I'd give it a shot. After selecting the defect my Mogul has, it indicated that my replacement is going to be a REC (I'm assuming that REConditioned) PPC6800...

Wondering if anyone else is seeing that now, meaning that there are NOW Moguls available to stick people like me with??? ;-) Thanks in advance.

Got my Touch Pro yesterday.. Came brand new in the box with an extra battery... havent had the chance to play with if but it seems pretty cool.. only thing I noticed is the back started to get hot with only playing with it for like 5 mins..

Well i was a bit sceptical about this but gave it a shot since ive got multiple issues with my mogul... sunday night using the link i requested a replacement and Tuesday sure enough i come home to open my new TP and they were kind enough to send me the extra battery too...

cant belive how fast this is and i havent had to free ram its great... think the author of this topic should be receiving some donations... he has saved several of us hundreds...

I ordered mine yesterday at 9:00AM. TP was delivered to my house at 1:00PM today with the extra battery. I am about to activate it.

This works, but I did it in store because the online form did not work for me. I tried using ecare but I just got the run around.

The way to approach it is tell them you want a repair. They'll assess it and then offer you a replacement.

When you look up a store on line, make sure you find a place that does repairs, but really only sends repairs out.

I go to the sprint store today.. I ask first.. Do you sell the mogul anymore, or have any in the back room for sale, my mother would like one and does not need the HTC Touch Pro.. They tell me No, they don't even have any for replacements for people that do have the Mogul currently and there is a waiting list for the phone...

I pull out my mogul and tell them the issues I been having with mine and the go back and test it out.. They said to me "Sir, we could not find the problem ourselves but we will replace the phone for you..."


What do you think he came out with? Of course a New Sprint Mogul... I don't know what that says about the waiting list that they supposedly had, but I was kind of wanting a Touch Pro...

I got a touch pro to replace my wife's Mogul, it works flawlessly, AWESOME phone.

I also got a Touch Pro to replace my aging, and slowing dying 6700, and of course, what are the chances, it's defective out of the box.

With this do you need to send in your mogul? I haven't caught all the posts and hoping someone can sum up with Where the website is and if you need to send in your 6800 after you get the pro..

I went ahead and listed in my long list of defects random freezing, unresponsive keyboard, white spot (which I finally saw, yay me) and erratic/freezing GPS. All true, all things I can live with, and all things that are reproducible on mine.

I thought Sprint was going to make me change my plan as well. I have 2000 mins and unlimited night & weekends for $45 a month. I have had this plan forever but they did not make me change it.

Quick question, could someone answer this? When I send back my mogul... am i supposed to delete all the information on it? Contact list, text messages etc? Never dealt with a phone replacement before... so would be glad if someone could answer? aznxg01d... you could possibly wait until the Moguls are EOL again... though the ones they have now are most likely everyone else's broken phones which they're fixing and sending out again...

I did this about 11pm Eastern time yesterday, all went through, BUT I got an ES#, not an ER#. Should I be worried? It doesn't pull up on the sprint tracking site or UPS.

how does one get tracking info, i just went on phoneclaim.com and got a message stating my claim is being processed check back in 24hrs. i ordered my replacement touch pro at 5pm today

look theres really no way to track it. they send it out so fast that sprint has no idea whats going on. and the checking of the order through sprint is booboo doesnt work (for most ppl). i emailed ecare they told me to call a number, i did, they had no clue. so no one could figure out where my order was and the day they told me tps were backordered and i would get one when they got them in, i recieved my tp. all u really can do is wait. if it said touch pro as a replacement im sure u will get it in 2 days. just erase all your info with clear storage or whichever way u want to go about doing that. if u have unlocked ur phone and used a cooked rom then just load it back to basic sprint spec. bottom line u can ask as many times as u want but no one here can give u a straight answer. email ecare see what they say. call sprint see what they say. to many questions being asked to the wrong ppl. call sprint they can tell u or not tell u or bull*hit u

This is how I found my tracking info. Go to the confirmation email from sprint and get the order number.:

Then go to ups.com, and click on the TRACKING tab at the top of the page. When the box comes up to input your tracking number, look below the box for a link that says "Track By Refrence Number". When the form comes up, imput your order number in the box that says "Shipment Reference". That should take you to the info for your package. I hope this is clear.

class1c is correct... sprint doesn't know or can't find the order mine was apparently overnighted 1 day delivery? so if you ordered it and they still had stock at that time, it was most likely sent out already... but back to my question, am i supposed to delete all text messages, contact info (hard reset) or do I just leave it with all that info when I mail back my replaced phone?

Ok guys did online with asurion on sunday order said will replace with mogul.called monday lady said moguls are backordered for 4 weeks so she offered me the TP I said YES!My wife called me today said a package had arrived.So of course couldnt wait to get off work got home opened it up and it was my very own ......MOGUL!Called them back told dude new phone is jacked!He said you will have a brand new TP by tomorrow.So we will see!

So today was a good day.I went in last saturday to the sprint store cuz the mogul again was giving me problem so they had to order me another mogul, i was like whatever. So today my mogul just stopped working so went back to the sprint store and i was like iam here to pick up my phone....But they never called me yet to pick it up so i decided i got nothing to loose but B.S them and tell them i got a call.. so the lady went to the back and shes like theres nothing here iam like i dunno they said they were supposed t replace it with the pro... SO she left again and came back with a new pro in the box .. i couldn believe me ... so i got my new phone.. runs very smooth from what i can tell right now.. good look with all you guys tryin to get the Pro and make sure you B.S them all you can...

its up to you.. do u want them to have this info? i did and always will when i send my phone to its grave. if they dont reset it and delete the info, fix it , repackage and send the refurbed to the next guy hoping for a tp.. he will have all your info.. contacts, texts etc....... my point- yes delete it all go to start/programs/clear storage... this is of course after you have gotten all your info that u want off of it

wow! i hope that doesnt happen w/ me, i too went through the asurion, i am on my second mogul and i dont think i can take another one! hopefully you get your touch pro tomorrow and i get mine friday!! good luck

I got an extra battery but my wife's TP didn't. Oh well, we share everything else so I think I will look into a base charger for the extra one if they make that for the TP. Ida know yet, having way too much fun setting them both up and reading different posts in a whole new forum for me to get into looking for that yet. :evil4:

SO, I have tried to read through this entire post, buti cant seem to find the correct answer with Alltel. I think Asurion, or whatever, is my insurance, but I have been to the alltel store over and over and they keep giving me a mogul and saying try this. I have complained each time and each time they give me the run around. Now what should i do, i really want a TP and will do anything to get one. I am still in the 1 year warranty, so they have to replace it no matter what.

any suggestions???

How many times have you had it replaced? I thought after 3 times or so they would offer the comparable model. Thats how I got my 6800 BNIB (from Asurion)

Asurion is good for shipping fast. I think I ordered my Omnia about noon and FedEx tried to deliver it that next morning.

I just had the same experience. I have 2 broken buttons and I sure as hell do not want a refurbished Mogul as a replacement.
