Ok. Looks like my broadband card is grandfathered in with unlimited data. Phew.

Why? We signed up for the unlimited data package. If the network can't handle someone doing more than 5gb of transfer then why advertise as unlimited? Anyway the cap is to get people onto Xohm anyway (which will be unlimited).

I concur. Since i found out i could use my touch as a modem i canceled the cable modem in my house. thats an extra $60/month in my pocket. btw, i would say i average about 6-7gb a month. I have stopped using my tether to d/l movies, it seems to make my touch 'overheat'. but albums i can do all day as well as stream pandora for god knows how many hours a month.

you pay $15 for your data and download movies? or $40 for PAM and download movies?

Get real, man. Even Comcast have a new policy to cap those who use bittorrent. long gone unlimited. people like you screw up good things.

imagine if everyone does the same thing as you, sprint data network just got overloaded and everyone will scream and call in to complain.

I actually dont pay for either. My plans includes "unlimited" data. I used to dl movies, but my poor touch cant handle the constant data for the length of time it takes to dl one. So i stopped. I am still around 5GB+/month...

That is exactly what people are talking about. Your plan entitles you to unlimited data on your PHONE! When you tether without a PAM add-on, you are violating the TOS. I am not trying to be the moral police, as many of us have and continue to tether without a PAM add-on. The problem arises when people, like yourself, abuse the privelage and think that they should make tethering their primary internet connection, and essentially steal internet from Sprint. In the end, it is people who do that who are going to ruin it for the rest of us!
