I followed a tutorial and had a 75$ charge (Overage: 2500 KB Additional Casual Data Usage @ $ 03/KB $75.00 ) for usage last month and chatted w/ customer service today, refunded my charge because the usage was included in plan. When asked about the July 5g cap she said she wasn't authorized to give out that info. Then I aksed her what my data cap is currently and she said "With the power pack pans, you do not have a data limit. "
I guess I don't mind having them correct my bill every month if I stay alert, maybe I should just never leave my power pack plan?

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap

Sprint should just roll out with 1 plan called Unlimited Everything plan and just cap the minutes at 1000 and 5 GB data because techincally you can use an unlimited amount of minutes but if you go over a certain cap you'll have to pay extra fees right?

Did they post when we'll be able to dump our contracts without the ETF yet? I called Sprint and they told me that when they start to cap the data I won't be able to cancel my line w/out an ETF because I signed a contract. I can't wait to forward this e-mail and my bill to the FCC and FTC if Sprint starts this game.

Has this gone into effect yet? Has anyone canceled without paying the ETF?

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap

yes, I had a customer come in asking why his services were shut off. I asked him, were you online all day long, he said yes. So on his bill it stated his monthly fee, the ETF, and then it showed a -$200.00 where they paid the ETF for him. Nothing he can do now! Sux for him.

Re: Sprint 5GB internet cap

yes, that's right! Sprint sent out a letter on one bill starting July saying if they are exceeding the limit, they will be terminated and Sprint will pay the ETF's through December of this year. That's exactly what happened.
