Ill blow out any data plan.. I use 80GBs avg/month.. and used 130GBs 2 months ago.... all on 3G.... and NONE of it Porn..

you give someone like me any type of increased speeds and Im gonna take advantage.. but i still think it should be an overage fee.. then only my lines that are the "hogs" pay extra.. my lines that use almost no data shouldnt have to pay an increase..

That logic escapes me...

You pay for UNLIMITED internet access... You and I get UNLIMITED internet access. For the price agreed regardless of how much we use... The only limit is the ammount of data the line is able to transfer in a month.

Just like you pay 5 bucks for your 5 dollar foot long wether you get cheese and all the veggies and "fixin's" or meat only. It comes with EVERYTHING... You choose what you don't want. My data plan is UNLIMITED I choose not to use it ALL the time you choose to use it more than I do.

Does getting mayo, mustard, cheese, all the veggies(not avo), chipotle sauce, salt, pepper, vinagre, and oil in your cold cut combo make you a HOG? Yes it does... But you still pay 5 bucks... Because it's a 5 dollar foot long.

Something happened tonight. lake Charles, LA apparently went 3G. I was about to do the PRL hack, and noticed Ev was on my screen.

As for the topic of this thread, I personally think the $10 premium data is acceptable. Although it would sound better to our ears if the additional fee was not there and the unlimited data plans just went up $10 instead. Then people wouldn't see it as so unfair.
The reality is this. Sprint is trying to avoid switching over to tiered and capped data plans. Sprint is the ONLY carrier with uncapped truly "all you can eat" data. All other carriers have gone to tiered and or capped data plans. This $10 premium data fee is an alternative to tiered and capped data plans. Those of you who are so unhappy about the premium add-on fee and real unlimited data just keep on whining and crying... Sprint can easily do away with the $10 fee and go with tiered and capped data plans to make you happy. If that's what you want go over to AT&T or Verizon or even T-Mobile.

Again this is Sprint's last effort to keeping truly unlimited "all you can eat" data plans with no cap. It's still cheaper than all the other carriers concidering you don't have a data cap. Be happy that Sprint is trying to maintain their competetive edge by offering cheaper plans with more included minutes and NO tiered or capped data. If you have any comon sense and do a comparison of all the wireless carriers, you will quickly realize Sprint offers the best plans, prices as well as the best data plans... which again are truly unlimited. Please take the time to educate yourselves and get the facts straight before whining and complaining about Sprint ripping you off. I hope Sprint can keep the premium data option because if not, then everybody get ready for capped and tiered data. You are never happy until you get what you ask for! (that comment is for all the whiners).

The bottom line is Sprint is the ONLY option for you of you need true unlimited data without the cap. You can't get that anywhere else! If you use over 5gb of data per month then you should be extremely happy and worry-free because you will never have a suprise bill with HUGE data overage charges. Common sense people... common sense. Some people amaze me by their ignorance and unwillingness to accept the truth.

Blatantly false. I keep seeing parrots repeat this, but it is flat out false.

T-Mobile has uncapped data. They supposedly reserve the right to slow the speed down on abusers after they hit 5 gigs, but I have not seen any reports of it ever actually happening. Sprint, by the way, also reserves the right to throttle the speed on abusers (with no reports of it actually happening).

Verizon has unlimited data plans listed on their website too. And in fact Verizon was just in the news because they said even iPhone users will get unlimited data. AT&T answered that by saying they will also give unlimited data on a case by case basis.

...and t-mobile is considering eliminating the throttle cap after 5 gb, per the tech i talked to (i pointed out the wp7 bug that jacks up the data).

here is an entire page of comments section saying t-mo sent them a text saying they had used 5 gigs and were ghoing to have their speeds decreased.
T-Mobile will throttle your data after 5 GB
the article is old, but the comments are new as of this week.

doc, its nice to see your admiting the speed tests were a fluke???
i went to the tmo store by my house the other night after we talked and did speedtests on their demo phones.
guess what? the hd7 did around 10 megs. the g2 sitting 3 feet away from it (with the same packet size on the same site) did 2300 kbs. id say its deffinitly a wp7 bug.
