As for the topic of this thread, I personally think the $10 premium data is acceptable. Although it would sound better to our ears if the additional fee was not there and the unlimited data plans just went up $10 instead. Then people wouldn't see it as so unfair.
The reality is this. Sprint is trying to avoid switching over to tiered and capped data plans. Sprint is the ONLY carrier with uncapped truly "all you can eat" data. All other carriers have gone to tiered and or capped data plans. This $10 premium data fee is an alternative to tiered and capped data plans. Those of you who are so unhappy about the premium add-on fee and real unlimited data just keep on whining and crying... Sprint can easily do away with the $10 fee and go with tiered and capped data plans to make you happy. If that's what you want go over to AT&T or Verizon or even T-Mobile.
Again this is Sprint's last effort to keeping truly unlimited "all you can eat" data plans with no cap. It's still cheaper than all the other carriers concidering you don't have a data cap. Be happy that Sprint is trying to maintain their competetive edge by offering cheaper plans with more included minutes and NO tiered or capped data. If you have any comon sense and do a comparison of all the wireless carriers, you will quickly realize Sprint offers the best plans, prices as well as the best data plans... which again are truly unlimited. Please take the time to educate yourselves and get the facts straight before whining and complaining about Sprint ripping you off. I hope Sprint can keep the premium data option because if not, then everybody get ready for capped and tiered data. You are never happy until you get what you ask for! (that comment is for all the whiners).
The bottom line is Sprint is the ONLY option for you of you need true unlimited data without the cap. You can't get that anywhere else! If you use over 5gb of data per month then you should be extremely happy and worry-free because you will never have a suprise bill with HUGE data overage charges. Common sense people... common sense. Some people amaze me by their ignorance and unwillingness to accept the truth.
