What fishingmedic said was right on the money. If you are experiencing a slow or laggy android, you've done something wrong. The basic package should work reasonably well without adding the latest kernal. I am currently running the 3D package verbatim from tiad8 with great success. Didn't mess with the startup text, module, zimage or drivers as he put them together and this thing flies and has great battery life. I would say try again. Android is a little tricky, but has progressed to the point where it can almost be used on a daily basis. |

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [11/221] FRX03 Reference!

It seems that right after I installed it was faster. The only thing I did after installing was to get the radio to work by changing the force CDMA parameter 0->1 (my SIM card is out) and then I configured my gmail account. Is there a way to monitor active processes? That is easy enuf to do in Windows, fedora or Ubuntu, but not sure how to do that in a phone distro. Cheers

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [11/221] FRX03 Reference!
Quick question, but first let me say thanks to all the developers working on this project. I have a Rhodium 400. I know the 3.5mm output still isn't functional yet. My question is, what do the other phone models use? Is it just a usb => 3.5mm adapter? If that's all, is there any reason I just can't use that as a work around on my sprint phone?

XDAndroid2.2Froyo.121610 XDAndroid2.2BLAZN.092810 Versions. I installed them both in separate directories on my SD card. I then removed all overclocking files from my WinMo install just to be sure. The Froyo install ran still slowly. The BLAZN was substantially faster and almost usable. My previous complaints were about the Froyo build. I assume there are other builds to try, but I am only into this for 2 days and it is vacation-time. Will have less time for "recreational computing" when back at work next week. In any case, hats off to the developers. I have written 1000s of lines of C++ in Fedora and can feel the pain. |

I have discovered that just loading the following cabs, not even overclocking, impedes the startup of XDAndroid2.2BLAZN.092810.

when using oc_auot4.2, there is a safe speed and duration that will let you run the stock speed to give you enough time to boot android. |
