Re: [TESTING] XDAndroid GBX0B 2.3.7 Build

Other than missing a few phone calls, I'm very happy, too. I've been leaving my Nook Color at home more and more because XDAndroid GBX0B does what most of what I need during the day. Dual booting works for me.

Re: [TESTING] XDAndroid GBX0B 2.3.7 Build

I get really battery hours, like 2 hrs (have Wifi off & Data enabled ON), any ideas to max the battery longer?

Do you think we'll ever get Android 4.0 ICS ported to TP2, just a thought..

I was going to put 4.0 ICS on my HP Touchpad tablet..

Sounds like something is running in the background, syncing alot or your battery is just about shot. The FRX builds didn't charge the battery completely, to get a total full charge you had to do it in WM. Make sure you always back out of apps when done using them and not just hit the end call key. Turn all your sync intervals up to atleast an hour.

Re: [TESTING] XDAndroid GBX0B 2.3.7 Build

thanks to you all that answered my previous questions, this build is working great for me on my tp2 but like 10mins ago someone left me a voice mail and the phone tells me this is a invalid input, then it says message 1 and the number from which it was sent, right after the audio for the message begins though xdandroid goes to sleep. has anyone else experienced this? also i am using Google voice but im not sure this would affect it i am also on kernel 3.2
Thanks,
boneskid1

Edit: ok figured out how to view the voicemail i just called my regular number and i go the options but the notification didnt go away

From Home screen, go to Settings > Call Settings > Voicemail Settings > Voicemail number. Make sure the correct voicemail number is set.

Re: [TESTING] XDAndroid GBX0B 2.3.7 Build

I tried uninstalling Astro with titanium backup as I prefer other file managers, and after a reboot it shows back up. Not quite sure how this is happening. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get rid of it?
Thanks

edit- Never mind. I found the app's location

I've been really pleased with how things are working! Thanks a million!
I was wanting to try one of the other kernels for S&Gs. I tried swapping the zImage and modules files like I had in the past for Froyo, but can't get it to boot.
Could someone be kind and tell me where/what needs to be edited so I can try them out?
Thanks.

How do I verify if something is running in the back? Also, I normally just hit end button key when I am done with the app, how do I properly make sure it's back out of apps when done?

Also today, it freezed twice for me, and sometimes, it just stop working completly. Thanks!

Re: [TESTING] XDAndroid GBX0B 2.3.7 Build

hm I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, thinking it's just my lack of android know how lol

But I can't seem to text people without using the area code to make the phone number 10 digits. I figured it would know that 7 digit numbers would be in the same area code as my own phone number but it isn't happening. Is there a place I can set area code?

oh a tip for battery life that I've been using from WM for people who want the new email notification, seems to be more effective in android since battery life is shorter. In gmail set your emails to be forwarded to your text message number then turn off the email sync. Set a bookmark to open gmail on your home screen so it acts like an "app". So now you can get new emails and read them from text message and open gmail to reply. So far I've found this to be more effective because it doesn't have to actively look for new emails (less battery use) and android doesn't seem to miss text messages as often as it hangs on data connection (probably sprint issue)
