I guess I'm still confused. If the phone is completely off and you start charging it... it shouldn't "autoboot" or turn itself on...

Re: NAND Boot Testing - 12-14: Panel power off fixes and new rootfs (important update

Just wanna say thanks for enabling these things on our devices. I have been playing with Android on my TP for a while and when I found this thread a few months ago, I started playing with it on my TP2... Now, both run WM6.5/Android/Ubuntu... Hells yeah, bring them on... The more the merrier!!! jejeje.

PS. Merry Christmas everyone!

it cant charge for extended time, when the charge reaches enough to boot, it friggin auto boots. neither wall, linux, nor windows keeps it charge while in "linux", so it dies. this is the continuous circle. also, random vibrations without anything showing on screen.... so i'm pretty sure i'm waiting long enough, trying not to be too ADD, haha, but its f'in tripped out problem here
I have had this more times than I care to admit. Luckily, there are two very simple fixes. The first common cause is that Android tried to launch, and until you pull the USB cable and the battery, it will continue to attempt to start. Pulling the battery while on USB does not stop the boot cycle. Yank both, then put the battery back in, and then put the USB cable in and it should charge normally. If not, move on to the next paragraph.

Ensure the USB cable is unplugged, then remove the battery, then hold down the buttons for bootloader and put the battery and USB cable back in (in that order). This should take you to the bootloader screen and charging will work normally until you get enough of a charge to get back into Android.

It's actually pretty difficult to brick the device or damage it as long as you are using what is posted. The only brick that I know of is when Wozzer had the USB cable slide out while he was flashing it (which could happen to WinMo as well...)

Yeah, even with the wall charger, it will still auto-boot if you were in Android when you ran out of power. Somehow it attempts to boot the next time a power source is connected. The way to re-charge it is to unplug the USB cable, then yank the battery, then put everything back in, and it should start charging normally.

I didn't realize the link was down, but I'll look at it. The file is still in the Dropbox, so maybe I have a typo. Should be fixed shortly.

Never was down. I had replaced the text for the link on the first page, but apparently the hyperlink kept pointing to the old file.
