Re: NAND Boot Testing - HW3D Fixed: 10-21, Auto-brightness Testing: 10-24

All,

This thread looks really interesting. As you all know WM 6.5 has been left out to die. I think the Rhodium platform still has lots of potential physically if it had a better OS.

I wonder what keeps you guys from buying an actual Android device, especially when the Droid2 is physically very similar?

I expect HTC to release an Android phone that is very similar to the Rhrodium soon - that should be good. I am also looking forward to the Droid Pro because I still feel like I need a keyboard.

In any case, I will be watching this thread and flashing my Verizon HTC Pro2 when the ROM becomes stable - it will be nice to end its live with an OS that honors the hardware instead of getting in the way.

keep up the great work.

That's an east question for me -- the keyboard. The D2 one doesn't cut it for me. I guess having a TP2 for over a year has spoiled me.

I can't for the life of me figure out what's taking HTC so long to crank out a good QWERTY slider. Perhaps the HTC Merge will be it -- though I'm disappointed that it doesn't tilt, and only has 4 rows on the keyboard. Unfortunately, the true successor to the TP2 seems to be the HTC 7 Pro, which of course runs Windows Phone 7. And I'm not leaving the Android world for anything.

This has been an experience. I would be happy to help for any porting of that phone to Android from Win7... if possible.

Anyway, looking good guys.

I can't afford a new Android based phone right now so I'm watching these developments with much anticipation. Once the last few pieces fall into place, I'm switching to Android and dumping WinMo forever.

Has the issue with the screen not completely shutting off been worked out yet? I wanna give this a try again. I had no luck getting it to boot past the boot screen last time. I didnt want to keep trying till the screen was fixed cause I wanna stick to Nand from now on.

Hey lookie that you're from Denver... Anyhoo, I don't think this has been sorted out yet. I was hopeful with WisTilt2's new commits, but I don't think acl has groomed those for NAND yet.

i havent even had a chance to try the latest build. Didnt someone say they had it working?

I will probably disable autobl since that should not affect panel shutdown and resume. Or at least have it set manually so it does not bother us during init which seems to be an issue.
