HELP!!! How does a SERO guy get a Touch Pro from Best Buy

Woke up early this morning,
travelled to BEst Buy, got there 5 minutes before it opened...
Got there right before they opened.
Walked through the door, they had about 4 of them waiting to be purchased....

Basiscally best buy's system (Snap) would not allow my account to be acessed by the nice guy here...so he tried to manually do it by calling sprint. He was then told that I would have to call telesales or go to a sprint store, to purchase the phone (Nov 2... whatttttt no way)...

While there at the Best Buy store, I decided to call Sprint... of course they had to push me through to SERO.... currently I am on the line, waiting for them to go through... But it is looking like I will not be able to get the phone...because I am SERO....

Anyone else experiencing this problem.

I have SERO and mine went through over the phone fine. He had to call up, give them my phone # and passcode, then they processed the upgrade and activated the phone. No problems here, and several others have gone through with it. Maybe go back and ask them to call again?

^ What he said. Either the guy at Best Buy was an idiot, or the person he talked to was a jerk.

^ Agreed. Actually when the guy went to activate the phone it said Activation Failed each time he tried. He called Sprint where i provided my credentials and the rep said that the change had actually been done already (somethings up with the new system sprint gave them to activate phones). Also the system said that i pay 80bux a month but that was also false because im on the 30 dollar SERO. Their system is jacked. dont leave there without that phone. have em call sprint again and again till someone who knows what theyre doing can help you.

I actually just walked in and bought one, then had my Mogul replaced, then activated the Touch Pro.

Now I have a 100% new Mogul for sale.

I had the same problem where first the system would not allow it, and then the people at Sprint tryed telling us I had to go through Telesales. I insisted that we find a way to get this done, so we called Customer Care, and about 30 minutes later I walked out with my new TP.

Had to pick up my pastor and take her to a marriage retreat that I was attending, so I was out until a little after 4:00... Went to a different store...across town (I live in Lex. Ky, they have the phones at both BBs). BB Mobile phone tech dude, at first could not do it, but another MP dude told that he had to change my SERO plan to a Voice Only SERO plan and call in to the SERO telesales folks...
Took about 30 minutes... but I walked out the store with the phone, for $254.20... plus, I got an additional $50.00 for extending my contract to 2 years...

Now, the biggest hurdle is getting the internet to work. It seems there is a internet browsing outtage on Diamonds and Touches, either all over the sprint network or in my area... which is weird... Port 80 traffic is Port 80 traffic....if internet browsing is dead on my phone, it should be dead on every other non-HTC phone that uses the internet, as well, outside of the Blackberries which go through RIM's servers...

WEIRD!!!

Humm....I have the Sero $49 plan (1200 mins unlimited txt and data) and I had no issues at all getting it done. He just asked me for my pin code so he could access my account on the computer and we were done. No calls at all. Walked out the door paying $239.99 (no tax)

Here's another ($30 plan) SERO user who had no problems. It's true, the system they have there won't let them do it over the computer, but all the rep has to do is call in, read them the ESN, fill out a contract renewal form (I had them put 2 years

hopefully that locks in SERO for a little bit longer). It takes a little extra time, as well as a rep who knows what they're doing, but it works out fine if you're patient and just a little bit accommodating.

I'm still laughing at how I was literally the first person in there. I had a woman from the desk call me as soon as inventory told her they had Touch Pros, and was in the store 30 minutes later, out the door another 30 minutes later with my Touch Pro.
