OK, I've searched all over but can't find what I'm looking for. VZW sent me a replacement TP2 and I've rebuilt it with Dinik Glass (WinMo 6.5.3 w/CHT 2.0). I want to change the Message Widget to go straight to SMS and NOT the Messages Tab. I remember editing a registry entry to do it but can't find it again. Does anyone know/remember how to do that?

OK. The above procedure does work, and there is a little reset device link hiding up in there. Now two more questions, Does this fix CHT2000? Can this be done via the registry?

The problem with the first question is that I only start noticing problems when using CHT2000 for a little while. Getting it all loaded up with the things I want and using it a week or so. Hard to do on the test device. I wonder if this should be posted to the CHT Thread....

If either of you are willing to give me a dump of your registry, specifically the section under:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]

Use Registry Editor included on NRGZ ROMs for the dump. PM me if interests you or anyone else. I can get an idea of what to look for and write a mortscript to handle this for XDAUC, etc.

I hoping to find some spare time this weekend to flash CHT2000 on to a test device and check it out. Like kyderr said, it takes a while for the random link stuff to happen so it's not right out of a fresh flash and it was never consistently replicable.

You can change the app launched for email, messaging and the clock widget. I believe by default they may not exist until you manually set them in CHTEditor or inject with a .REG file.

For CHT2000 users under:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]

No idea what you are doing, but I have that exact ROM running on over 6+ TP2s with no issues or lockups with WiMoSpeed around 633 or so.

Dial down your overclocking on WiMoSpeed maybe by 1 tick and see if that helps. You are probably overaggressive on the OC. Read the wiki and various faqs about OCing on this platform.


Also, for NRGZ or any other slacker user: the app is a single exe file that I pulled out of the cab installer. Seeing how slacker will likely never release another update for WinMo (they haven't in months), it maybe safe for NRGZ to include it if enough other junk removed frees up enough space in the kitchen.

I tried this in CHT185, no joy. The entry did exist. Are the quotes needed just like you have them.

I didn't find those entries in the Dinik Glass ROM. I'm thinking it's because I'm using CHT 2.0. However, I made the recommended edits to the following entries under the same location and it worked:

HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila

CHT.ProgramLink.Email
CHT.ProgramLink.Messages

I tell you what if you all don't keep the noise down I'm going to have to call the cops and report you lol. Yeah I know there are no new ROMs out, but figured the die hard ROM lovers would still be in here chatting it up.
