im only going to try it because im hard resetting to remove a bunch of junk i nolonger use. more of a demo. ill post speed results and bugs. its not a mem. issue though.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!

Spb MS runs as a start up prog, the last thing Iwanna do is move it to SD. There are tons of other prog that may be better moving but not spb there is absolutely no need. My 2 cents man..forget moving spb.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!

Eventhough I wouldn't suggest it, I know a lot of PPC users are very tight on memory, and every kb they can save is gold, so I think darren.wlsn1 using the opportunity of doing a hard reset to try out this little tweak for all the people that can really use it (I would have given serious consideration on my 700wx) is a great thing!!!

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!

Whats up guys? I was wondering if anybody other than myself was expereiencing some stability problems while using Mobile Shell 3.0 combined with Sensor scroll? I was using sensor scroll before 3.0 was released and the app itself was working fine. Although i did fine out that sensor scroll does not like Sensor Lock. Those two programs wil cause havoc with your phone if installed at the same time. So to fix that i switched to AC's S2U and sensor scroll worked great. Then came the addition of mobile shell. (which is absolutely detroying TF3D!! IMO) Then Mobile shell became very unstable and i found myself soft resetting my phone about ever other time i tried to use my phone. Well i tried everything to remove other programs i wasnt really using and stil the unstability. Then it hit me...it was sensor scroll once, maybe its sensor scroll again? I uninstalled sensor scroll and viola' unstability is gone! I put the programs that i had removed back on there and still no instability. My question to you guys is, is there a registry hack or something that would
1) allow sensor scroll to work in the background of 3.0 so that when you hit those menus that were not included in 3.0 ie File Explorer
2) work all together with 3.0 so that you could scroll thru the 3.0 menus using the wheel
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!

Is there a way or can someone point me to a thread so I can change my ringer/alarm options in spb shell 3.0.
I have a vx 6800 and would like to have it so my phone will not ring while I have it set to silent, but still have the alarm go office if it is set to.
Last time I has that option was in HTC home and I miss it a lot

The problem with opera is that 9.5 beta installs into different directories than the older versions, so MS3 cannot see them. You can change some of this in the registry, but why, just follow the steps below to make it work.

The easy way, find (earlier in this thread) the power toy for editing the menus. Then unzip it, and transfer the .exe file over to your phone. The file does not install, it simply runs when you click on it, so know where you put it. I added it to my tools group in the launcher for future use.

Once you run the power toy program you can then check and uncheck the entries in each menu group, you can add sub-menus and you can add new files to run in the various launcher groups.

For Opera (assuming that you have 9.5 beta) you cannot use the built in opera link (or favorites or history) you can add a "link" to the internet group and then select your Opera install from the list that pops up.

Hope this helps. The instructions to go to SPB settings, and then check and uncheck, is from MS2.1. MS3 has type of feature, ONLY if you use the power toy.
That worked. Still no hope for getting my bookmarks thru the shell tho. I wonder if there's a way to have Opera automatically pop up the bookmarks upon launch, like the link in TF3D.

Yea I used the normal Today screen before. It looks like the culprit is with SPB Weather tho. I haven't used it at all today and my battery life has been more normal. I tried turning off the auto-update within it but it still seemed to drain while it was running, so for now I'm going to "un-integrate" it from MS3.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!

I'm having a somewhat annoying problem with MS3.

Text message notifications will stop showing up on MS3 as well as S2U2...

I'll hear the texting sound, see the SMS icon at the top, but none of the programs see that I have a new text message. Disabling MS3 from starting up solves the issue with S2U2, but why won't MS3 see that I got a new message?

EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out.
