Cuz it is still pointing to the 21815_96DPI_0409_old file and I just noticed the html name is swapped between 192 & 96 dpi. The BOLD title matches what the file is but the html is backwards.

Ok, it's fixed now. Both DPI are updated AND the links are actually pointing to the right files now. Sorry for the confusion:drunken:

PPCGeeks.com let me paste over top of the link with the new link, but still kept the old link. They are fixed now. Thanks for the heads up.:headbang:

No Problem Mon I just figured you'd want to know before the hordes dragged you into the streets :violent1: BTW did the SYS_21815_Common get udated with files from Da_G or was it just 0409's? I currently am still getting a grey background where it used to be white (settings/contacts) but all the menus and tabs are displaying correctly again? Nevermind as soon as i changed themes everything is fine. Screen has way less hang ups as well.

No, the common was not updated, just the tsk files in the DPI. The 192 works fine for me with the updated tsk files, but I'll put together a new 96dpi. If you want to try the new one and let me know, I'll switch them around.

Nooo! Completely not necessary! I updated my post everything is working fine with the files you already posted. It was an error somewhere between my chair and the ppc. :banghead: Thank you though.

LOL, ok cool. Thanks for the update. I hate those "Musta been a short between the seat and the keyboard" moments. :drunken:

I'm trying to cook this 21815 build for my athena.....I think I've reached 13 test roms already and still none is booting past the htc screen (well, the htc logo fades out after a while on a couple of them but it's still a no go). ](*,)

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I used xipkitchen to port the xip, I G'reloced the sys folder with my device's wincelns, but still on boot up.

I got the 96 dpi working too! :) I got a SYS from Ankit360 and it worked like a charm. No problem at all. Actually i don't use any kitchen as such, had built my own batch scripts that automate the process a bit, i guess that's why i was getting problems. I downloaded the SYS that was made for PPCKitchen i think.

Anyways, i have noticed one change in this build apart from this theme API change. The TreeView control has been made finger friendly. The + sign against each item is bigger and there is lot of space between consecutive items. You can watch this in action in apps like Advanced Configuration Tool etc.

Just thought someone here might find the fact interesting :)

I've gotten none to boot....I havn't tried to manually port the xips yet though...the kitchen has a extracted working 6.1 xip that I think can be used to manually port the new xip...

Ya, I notice the same symptom as well, but no sure if this is normal or not (but at least the function is OK). Strange thing is some other SYS won't come out the same result.

I think Hypercore is real old! I used to use them in my wizard days! Is this my anhilius? I dont think he supports that now!

Try using a different kitchen if possible.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

When I use a 3rd party theme (tsk), I get the grey/pink background still (after getting the new 96dpi rar file). If I use the default ones, it's fine.

Is there a way to fix tsk files so they do not show the grey/pink any more ? If there is a way, how do I edit them to fix them ?

I might as well ask, as Da_G said, MS is updating the specs for theming, What new options are there are how does people take advantage of it ?

Thanks !!!

You have to edit the setup.xml file in the tsk.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

DavidinCT- Are you hard resetting after flash? What version of 96DPI files are you using? I am currently using the ones from joojoobee here and they are working great. FYI, I thought the new ones weren't working for me either, some menus were still grey, some weren't. It would change, they were different for different themes, but as soon as I hard reset, then switched themes, they were all fixed and the correct colors in all themes. I would double check before you go and edit all the themes. Would hate to see you have to edit them all back after the next build is released. You could also try this as a quick and dirty.

Yes I noticed that. This is why i stopped cooking it into my ROM's. that and it asks you to register after a while.

LOL, yeah. It's a kicker until you understand it and then it's like "WTF? That's it? That's not bad at all."

Yeah, it's done that ever since I started cooking ROMs a year ago. I found that I didn't really need it anymore since Total Commander fulfilled all my needs.

4 Attachment(s)
Here's a deskTop theme's I made, :drunken: QVGA and VGA both in download
Also a cab file that will set any *.tsk to dialer background see Image Bellow,
Included a Restore**.CAB so if you don't like it just install and soft reset
How to

Yep, always hard reset after a flash, or at least attempt to (sometimes hard reset does not work after a flash for some reason).

I tried the quick and dirty method, it appears to have solved the issue for now (at least till the next build comes out and we really know what will happen with these tsk files)

Hmm, taskbar on the today screen and start menu stay solid brown (taskbar in landscape appears as it should). Everything else works perfect.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

@blazingwolf: He is saying that the build 21900.5.0.2 is probably fake as the current version we have is 21815.5.0.50 so how come it gone back to a previous AKU?

@Ankit: I guess its a new series started by some other company based around an older codebase. Wont be worth trying most probably, but waiting for DA_G's word on it.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Well build 21900 has older features then the current 21815 build we have, as stated earlier it could be one of the companies starting their own customizations on wm6.5.
