:)

Each times previous .tsk will need to be updated - we've experienced this once already going from 6.1 to 6.5, same reasons :)

WTF? Why now?

Anyhow, thanks for the info though. I guess there is no reason for me to continue throwing ROMs at my phone if it is a lost cause....

Update: FYI the dsi76 reg tweaks embedded in the tsk work fine. *shakes fist at microsoft*

I don't use Manilla, so anything in that area, I couldn't really help with.

Enjoy the build and let me know if any other issues arise.

Hi there I may be wrong but I think it's an issue with transparency of images could be MS changed background color? or someone edited the images or compressed them!
Well it's just a thought

@joojoobee666:

Why now, hehe, 6.5.0.1 is done and 6.5.0.2 beginning,

OEM's are asking for ability to skin entire OS..

So API changes must be made to expose it :)

It will have benefits for us too though, we're OEM's :)

Hey, 200+ dls on the 0409 DPI files, anyone try them yet? do they work fine?

Ahh, I guess that makes sense then.

What all did you change in those DPI's you posted?

Here is Da_G's fixed files for the grey background plague. They have been integrated to the SYS_21815_96DPI_0409 Sorted out the QVGA, and RAR'd up, ready for the PPCKitchen. I have not tested these yet but should work fine. If they work make sure to say thanks (to Da_G) I am just a master of ctrl c + ctrl v. If they do not work for you please let me know and I will try to fix them when I wake up.

Change? I didn't change anything... but they have been converted from MNGE to Module, so the modules may or may not work depending on if the converter worked :)

Was I jumping to conclusions? I thought somewhere between here and xda I read that this version may fix the greyed out backgrounds. If I read your posts wrong let me know so i can edit it before i sleep.

Change in my rom (platformrebuilder) and can't open startup. Titanium works well, contacts, alarms, but startup freeze the touch for 30-40 sec and not open

nikki2beeps, yes it does :)

But this has nothing to do with a change made by me, I think that's where the confusion is..

@Ankit: LOLz! But did the themes worked on the phone? In my case, themes are not working, on first startup, it defaulted to the blue windows mobile 6 kind of theme. Also, on connecting to computer, the phone is being detected but activesync doesn't start on phone niether does any connection happening.

I haven't tried the recent files shared by da_g though. have you tried those?

Should fix up your little .tsk problem :)

The modules inside may cause errors when built into ROM - still working on module conversion tool.. let me know. I know they won't work when converted to MNGE and .cab.pkg'ed into an image update rom, but I believe they will work fine for platformrebuilder/buildos+greloc..

either way, even if the modules dont work, the tsks are not modules, so will be fine, but please report :)

PERFECT! Thank you a lot!

4. restore tour backed up reg to fix the grey background problem:mrgreen:

krazy_about_technology:

Your errors are indicative of mxip_*.provxml's not being properly executed ; This itself is generally indicative of a low level build problem - like using an old XIP with a new SYS, for example.

I have run into that specific problem with the Ervius VK, once before, when XIP was not being properly inserted to os.nb.payload - so ROM was a new \SYS paired with an old \XIP

Ya i got that after a bit of research, but i have ported the my xip using my original XIP as base and using MSXIPKERNEL files from an xip posted here :

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...postcount=5056

Should i re-port the xip using some other 21815 xip from this thread?

Guys,

I know someone else had a similar issue before but I didn't see it being a wide problem, or see a fix.

When the alarm sounds it ALSO plays the reminder sound as though the alarm was a normal event.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance.

Da_G,

URtheMan! :headbang:

Worked perfectly w/Calk's kitchen and the 21815 build I upled yesterday. It did obliterate his GlossBlack theme I really liked, but for now I can deal as I like having "white" panels back ;)

Calk or anyone else: do you have a cab for your GlossBlack theme that works with Da_G's update?

Thanks again for all you do for this community!

For those who like the glossy theme with white panels. This is what I did for the fix for the 5.2.21815 build.

I used UI Tweaker (Attached Below) and ran it. I launched SysColor Changer from the program and Selected Dialog Box and Static Control Colors. I changed it to white. (Make sure all R G B sliders are set to 255) I then applied it and soft reset. No more gray in the pop up text and icon areas, and my buttons are grey.

**********Update**********

Do the above but also go to Window Background Color and change it to white.(Make sure all R G B sliders are set to 255) This is also located under the SysColor Changer tab. Apply and soft reset. Bam, you are set.

I have also attached normal white background color.sys to import via uitweaker. Simply copy the Normal white background to you sd card or wherever. Then install uitweaker and then launch it, go to SysColor Changer and select launch. Now select tools and import. You will see the file. Import it and close the app. It will ask to soft boot. After that you are set.

Cheers,

Mikee

Symptom: provxmls not being executed

Disease: faulty xip porting (or cross-mixed between different kitchens/cooking styles)

Cure: xip port again and start from scratch

Cuz it is still pointing to the 21815_96DPI_0409_old file and I just noticed the html name is swapped between 192 & 96 dpi. The BOLD title matches what the file is but the html is backwards.
