All working well with plataformrebuilder.

Ok great.

But how to do so? Mean how to extract to imgfs.bin from payload and how to put it back?

YES, I'm bit noob. :)

For taking imgfs.bin:
ImgfsFromNb OS.nb.payload imgfs.bin

For putting back:
ImgfsToNb imgfs.bin OS.nb.payload OS.nb.payloadNEW -conveservative

Cheers

Anyway, can it be possible to make a program which changes the XPR to LZX while building ROMs? or anyother trick to make it automated?

Of course. It's trivial to do. 2 file copies.

Easier to get the imgfs offset from any build log, and the LPZ/XPR will be within a hundred bytes or so of that

I know this is pretty sad, but I cannot figure out how to get rid of the customer feedback or the initial align screen prompts. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. TIA

This will only show the Align Screen prompt.

All other screens will be skipped :)

Code:

  <characteristic type="HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Welcome" translation="filesystem">
        <parm name="Disable" datatype="integer" value="-3"/>
      </characteristic>

Thanks, but I really wanted to get rid of that one - indentations are forming on my screen protector from aligning it. I have the alignment coordinates entered into customization already...

That won't get rid of customer feedback. To remove customer feedback, delete ceipui.exe from the shell folder, and overwrite the mxip_notify.vol file from shell with the one attached.

What do you mean? It comes 4 icons per rom stock. Are you looking for the portrait 4 icons per row (StartMenu_GridScene for vga 480x640)? I have that. It's in my sys base, post 4 of my rom thread.

OEMizer has an option to skip the calibration screen. How do you enter the alignment coordinates into customizations?

Also the settings i had before are no longer active so when i recive a text message it doesnt vibrate or ring

i figured it out through painstaking trail and error its d wizzy registry speed tweaks beware

I tried OEMizer but it didn't work... I will give it another try tho since last time I copied the reg settings into another rgu file. As far as alignment coordinates -
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH]
"CalibrationData"="512,510 843,852 844,162 170,162 178,858"

After you do a good alignment look at that reg key on your phone and copy it out.

OEMizer also auto enters that in the rgu it creates, but the numbers are way off.

Thats was exactly what I meant. I cooked a Diamond ROM up for my boss and it looked like sh*t. The PPCKitchen base 21210 DPI files do not have ANY for 480x640. I did pulled down Calkulin's kitchen and yanked them from his base. And this is good for me, since I will be in ownership of a Touch Pro come next Tuesday...I think we ALL know what's going to happen to that as soon as I get it outta the box :D

I might check out your kitchen on Monday when I am back to work. For some reason, after putting 6.5 on his phone, the GPS stopped using the GPS PDE servers for help. I put the Alltel GPS registry cab on there and all. Even made sure that the GPSOne chip had all the right settings in QPST. Have you verified your ROM/Kitchen both have GPS working with the network assist?

da_reeseboy 04-25-2009 09:08 PM

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

I know the gps is working, but I haven't checked to see if the assist is working on it. I'll let you know.

I don't even know that I have it installed... I noticed your thread in the diamond section - I'm using Indagroove's base. I opened up google maps here in my house and enabled gps, within 15 seconds I had a lock on 10 satellites.

Very good! Indagroove suggested I try his base as well since he has had no issues. Thank you for info and I will try his base on Monday then:headbang:

One other question for ya then, are you using the GPSOne QPST settings and the Registry settings for Alltel?

So....all these bases are unnecessary and cause a lot of crappy roms to be made. Why don't you guys try to figure out your differences and make a single base?

If nothing else, it'll give you something to do while you wait.

I understand what you are saying there. For the record tho, I haven't had a crappy rom from indagroove's base yet...

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Hey guys,
I've finally ported 21501 to my GSM Diamond, and it looks beautiful! All this time I was porting to QVGA for my Elfin. However, I have a couple of issues with this new port.

Firstly, I used the PureBlack2 theme from XDA, and as you can see in the screenshots below, there is a problem with the memory percentage font in the Task Manager. On the right, you will see that it is black for VGA (so that you can barely see the numbers), whereas on the left you will notice it is white for QVGA:

http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/1654/elftaskmgr.jpg http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/875...ondtaskmgr.jpg

How would I fix this?

Also, I don't know if any of you have this problem, but I cannot figure out how to save my Camera images directly to \Internal Storage\DCIM... they keep being saved to \Internal Storage\My Documents\My Pictures. The Pictures tab in Titanium will only look under DCIM. I have already set EnableDCIM=1 in the registry, which has no effect.. and SavedFolder_0409 has no effect either.

The funny thing is that it's the PPCKitchen base that's causing the user's gps issues:

In terms of doing something while we wait, what do you guys think about this:

http://i532.photobucket.com/albums/e...creen01-19.png

With a ClassicBlue Background it would look a bit like a 6.5 dialer might, right?

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

I was reading some discussions on this about getting Pictures from a Flash card to show up on the homepage of WM 6.5 under pictures. I still can't get 21501 to show pictures from the card. Shouldn't it just show the pictures from the folder that the camera saves the pictures to?

Does anyone have clear directions on how to get it to work ? The camera saves the pictures to /Storage Card/My Documents/My Pictures where all my pictures are. I would like it to show the pictures from that folder (don't want to have to move pictures around for them to show up).

Any idea ?
