does anyone have a working xip.bin for 28014? please upload.....

EDIT: the kitchen I'm using is based on erviusKitchen 1.8.1 and it doesn't seem to be able to decode the newer xip.bin files...does anyone know if there's something that needs to be changed/updated for it work? the kitchen works for xips like 23060 but not for 28011 or 28014 and I dont' really know how to use the msxipkernel folders because everytime I use them and try to build, platformbuilder.exe always crashes in the building process.

if you are using the VK why bother w/the xip.bin..?

just drop the attached MSXIPKernel folder into your \ROM\Shared\28014 folder.

also make sure to create a folder w/matching number in the device specific \ROM\"Device"\ folder (28014)

*sounds like you don't have folders w/matching build numbers in \ROM\Shared\XXXXX & \ROM\"Device"\XXXXX

yep, there's plenty of info here about recmodding & slot 0 - http://www.everythingdiamond.info/showthread.php?t=490

recmodcommon makes it a simple 1step operation :thumbright:

if you're not having those issues w/this new build, it sounds like something in your previous setup. take care of those modules & you should be set.

Build 28205 WMD

Here are Build 28205 PPC Kitchen files. These are tested and working. My 6.5 kitchen files include the latest Myphone (Skybox), Livesearch (Bing), and Marketplace. Also included is latest NetCF 3.5 and SQLCE 3.5. You may or may not have to delete the NetCF from PPCkitchen_Addition.rar depending if you have the older or newer one. All DPIs included 96, 128, and 192. All packages included. Besides MSIMAR (new MS keyboard that is not any good, use the stock one or one from the kitchen).

If anyone's flashed yet, is it worth upgrading from 28014? Any major changes?

Not being able to see it well like all the others say too, it sure looks like an error i got on a bad rgu in an oem i had just made and forgot to check before moving into place. cab2oem doesn't handle paths too well in rgu. Just a wild guess though!

Not sure about IE, but RHOD or Leo phonecanvas does not display caller id info. Same as 23620!:-x

Caller ID issue is fixed by replacing the phoneredist with one from a previous sys. However, incoming calls no longer show in call history.

Swapping OS folder out with 28014 fixes call history, need to narrow it down but my phone has been reflashed many times today and I'm done for now.

now i'm cooking for diamond too, but have to learn many things. Working on 28014 0C0A sys use the fix cprog.exe and the tpcutil.dll for the dialer bar issue. But with this, i can create a new contact in outlook. The screen doesn't appear.
Can i use other dialer (canvas) or there's a way to fix this?
