Also Where is build 28888 I have not seen that floating around?

Hah, I meant 21888 sorry. But yeah, I had exchange and Gmail both working on the hybrid sys with no problems. From winmo messaging I can add a new account with no problems. If you are setting up a new email account from Touch Flo 3D, that may be an issue with, Touch Flo 3D and the sys.

@ Mikee4fun, thanks for the hybrid build i used calc's kitchen with your files and built myself a no HTC rom, just the necessities and the messaging is not the newer conversations one, also I can not add a new e-mail other than exchange and I was only able to do this by adding the server source via active sync not through "New Account" under messaging. When I choose "New Account" I get taken to text messaging, which by the way shows "Conversations" in the top right, but in e-mail it does not. Any idea's?

Has anyone else built a rom using Mikee4fun's 28014 with a hybrid of 23518 messaging (2010) and Newer IE from 28205, really cool concept if it works...

I tried too and got the same problem you're having, also the conversation view showed up in txt message instead of the email....

Conversation is suppost to show up in txt message and email. You lose it in email when you uncheck do not prompt when deleting and or selecting keep sent messages in the sent folder. This is a problem even with the native 23518 sys.

Addendum: Anyone on 21888 having problems installing Cabs such as: ATcontacts, Chrome Editor, Titanium weather, titanium correlated files...>?

Here you go, go to HKLM\Software\OEM\SMS and make a Dword called RecvTimeStamp and set it to a value of 1. If it is already there make it a 1 and wait a few moments. It should now show a time stamp. =)

Going back to 21887, too many bugs on 21888 =/

Ok so i just built a fresh rom with calcs 1.33 and the option for sent messages in the sent folder is checked by default any idea how to get rid of this on build? Is it a package i am selecting?

Also when choosing Messaging -> Setup E-Mail "Tap to setup new account" it does not take me to the account setup. It just takes me to outlook e-mail still, This is a stripped build so theres not much to it.

Edit *** so i re downloaded the kitchen and the 2nd link you posted of the hybrid sys, hoping this would resolve it, with a clean build and I am unable to add new e-mail still with the above problems anyone else? Guess I will just wait till the 23518 sys gets dropped for that kitchen.... Oh well.

Well weird that you are having that issue. I am working currently on the 23518. Only have two issue to iron out. The phone pad has the cursor on it and I cannot save phone dialer settings. Going to checkout the boot.rgu and some other things. Hopefully have something in the hour.

Wierd in the boot.rgu I have

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\LSOMACORE]
"Index"=dword:00000001
"Prefix"="DRM"
"Dll"="lsomacore.dll"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Filters\L sFilter]
"Order"=dword:00000001
"Dll"="LSFILTER.dll"

But I cannot save the dialer settings. Hmmm. Anyone have any suggestions?

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

I believe I have stumbled upon an issue with the latest builds using PPCKitchen.
I just cooked a 21888 for one of my 6800s, and I found that G-Alarm would not load properly.
I installed NetCFV3.5.wm.armv4i.cab.
Now G-Alarm loads and run properly.
I thought that PPCKitchen installs NetCF automatically, however I think the newer builds have something that is conflicting with this.
The latest ROMs that I have found for my Omnia have had issues with the new email app.
I will re-flash it and see if this NetCF fixes that issue.

Joojoo, I just built a few new ROMs using 23518 and the new Manila 1922 in PPCK. Thanks much for everything you have been doing with PPCK. It is by far the best program for cooking now IMO.

Anyhow guys, the ROM turned out quite nice, but the dialer has some problems. I used the HTC TP2 Shipped Phone Canvas. When I open the dialer, randomly it will either have a white bar at the top or a black bar. If it's black (like normal) fine, but if it's white the numbers I push do not show up on the top of the dialer (so I can't see what is being dialed).
http://ppcgeeks.com/forums/attachmen...2&d=1263272585

Also, if I click Save to Contacts, the background of the screen that comes up is all screwed up.
http://ppcgeeks.com/forums/attachmen...0&d=1263272107

Finally, none of the default ringtones work (I've heard from others using my ROM that this is random too). They all give a message about them being corrupted. Any ringtones that I add myself work fine.
http://ppcgeeks.com/forums/attachmen...9&d=1263272107

Any ideas guys?

I was having issues with this dialer as well, it drove me crazy, I am also sprint and replaced the rgu with the one from sprint stock dump.

Seems to be working for me now. Although my issues' with it were slightly different. Check and see if this works for you and that will confirm two sprint devices.

http://ppckitchen.org/mattsm/RGU_s/2...90eb3eccae.rar this is the stock sprint rgu from dump. It has the same guid.

We still need to find out what is going on, that is as far as I got so far.

EDiT: I just realized also the build number you are using. I was using 21887com2 with the issues that I was having.

21889, thanks to duttythroy @ xda!

From dutty: You can rename the file to flash.dio and use bepe new tools to extract oem and sys and xip, or whatever is easy for u.

Downloading now. I hope this fixes all these issues.

Also, if anyone has an answer, Opera Mobile 10 will not work under build 23518 for me. I get the message about the file missing critical components or not having enough memory. Windows Live doesn't work either, just starts the swirling Windows symbol and then closes.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Is there a way to find out if NetCF is getting built in when the PPCKitchen cooks?
I hava a slow connection, still downloading the builds.

The 21887 that I built with the 1.0 PPCKitchen worked fine.
I think it has something to do with the new builds having the new email app.
I usualy cook without any I-Net or email items.
Then I load WindowsLive_0409.PPC2005_arm.cab.
I have msn, And when I use the choice for "Other Account", everything works fine.
That "Newer" email app just gives me one of my many folders.
As soon as my kitchen finishes updating, I will cook a 21887, 21888 and a 21889.
I will compare the differences using G-Alarm as a test to see if NetCF is the main issue.

It is, most if not all programs run off of .NETCF so if you don't have it you would know it real fast.

But if you want to make sure go to:
PPCk-BuildOS\Kitchens\PPCKitchen_Addition\NetCF3.5
Open up the Options.xml and you will see a line that looks like this:
<Item name="NETCF 3.5" group="Hidden" checked="True">

COM2 builds do not have netcf3.5 in them (at least they didn't use to). To find out if it's cooked in, just look in /windows for netcf files (need to use total commander or the like to view ROM files). Look for netcfd3dm3_5.dll, etc.

cac2us 01-13-2010 01:33 AM

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

I compaired the build log files from the 1.0PPCK.
21887 showed:
Processing "net.exe" as file
Processing "netbios.dll" as module
Processing "netcfagl3_5.dll" as file
Processing "netcfd3dm3_5.dll" as file
Processing "netcfmail3_5.dll" as file
Processing "netmui.dll" as module
Processing "netmui.dll.0409.mui" as module
Processing "netui.dll" as module
Processing "network.plg" as file

And 21888 showed:
Processing "net.exe" as file
Processing "netbios.dll" as module
Processing "netmui.dll" as module
Processing "netmui.dll.0409.mui" as module
Processing "netui.dll" as module
Processing "network.plg" as file.

I think the newer builds have something to do with NetCF being excluded during cooking.
I will see what happens with this update..

Is it just me, or is anyone getting "Animations" errors with PPCK 1.1?

EDIT:
21889 cooked fine in spite of the "Animations" error as well as a bunch of notes in the bottom box of the main app.
But the logfile shows NetCF "Processed" well and the ROM rocks.
Next I will cook a 21888 just to see what the logfile shows.

Animation error is new to me, should be easy to replicate and fix.

Nagrom Nniuq, what do you mean you can't get any ROMs built after the update? Are there any error messages?

As far as Windows Live, I don't know. I don't use it, but I know there is a new version out. Best bet would be to convert the CAB to an OEM package and use that instead.

vin, Getting started can be removed with some option.xml edits. The WelcomeCenter package needs excluded. When you say the whole build gets messed up by deleting the link, what do you mean?

We are not mind readers. Without knowing what you were building or what problems you ran into, it is impossible to help you.

If you have a build problem you want analyzed/fixed, you should start by posting it at PPCkitchen.org. We do not monitor PPCGeeks or XDA. Include your selections.txt and build log (put them on ppckitchen.pastebin.com and provide a link in your post).
