Thanks for your answer. Is not the same problem. it's about the fixed cprog or tpcutill.

Metadata is not used by the PPC kitchen. So that was not your issue.

I recall runnning into the "Internet Explorer cannot download blank" problem before. In my case, it was due to either a missing browsingie lang or base package, not sure which. Check and make sure you are not missing any packages.

yep, there's plenty of info here about recmodding & slot 0 - http://www.everythingdiamond.info/showthread.php?t=490

recmodcommon makes it a simple 1step operation :thumbright:

if you're not having those issues w/this new build, it sounds like something in your previous setup. take care of those modules & you should be set.

thank you very much, I it all down to 0 modules in slot 0.

I guess it's time to move up from 28011 (it's a pretty stable build that is why I am still running it) but, from what I read, 23518 appears to run better than the last 205 build....

I needed to nuke my phone back to stock anyway (GPS on the titan not working) but, I had everything else working so good, I didn't bother....hehe

Guys I posted this in Calkulin's thread, but some of you may not go to the TP2 forums.

Ok guys and gals, I was able to port the new threaded email from 23518, the newest IE from 28205, a working voice command, and packaged it into the 28014 sys. Everything works!!! I am uploading it now. So consider it a hybrid sys.

The files are from Calkulin's 28014 sys, 28205 sys and Da_g's 23518 sys. This is for the visual kitchen. =)

Enjoy!

Has anyone else noticed that when building 23518 with PPCKitchen, it shows CE OS 5.2.23515 (Build 23518.5.5.0). Maybe I got a wrong file somewhere.

That's quit typical. Often times the XIP is NOT updated (thats where the first number comes from) from Microsoft, though I did go ahead and update the XIP rar to make it read 23518 for continuity's sake. :D

Hi guys

I'm still trying to replace my lost tools,
I had a little tool that would open 2 *.rgu files in tree view side by side there was a yellow button between the 2 windows that when you click it would hide all identical entries, It was called something like rguedit, it was a bit buggy, but grate for compairing rgu's,

P.S. It's not this one "RGUEdit.1.1.2"

can anybody give me a link please, But not by rapidshare as i still can't get anything from rapidshare,

Thanks in advance

Hex edit shell32\s000 and search the hex string 02EB7D3E.
It will show up twice in a timebombed shell32. Replace 7D with BB in both cases.

As far as the Beta tag on the home screen, search the Shell package rgu for
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\DeviceBeta and delete.

21887 worked great for me. So far 21888 seems just as stable. Not sure why you were locking up. Almost everyone else had nothing but positive things to say about 21887.

And that's why I called it "Business". COM2 is gettin the job done :p

Hey JooJoo you have a clean sys for 21888. All I have got from XDA is missing 0409 parts. :/ I need it for the visual kitchen =)

Update... I just used 0409 parts from 21887. I will see how it spins. Using the new kernel and new drivers from vz and it seems pretty darn snappy. =) Must have flashed 20 times today. =O

Yeah, using 21887 0409 is fine. There are very few changes between 21887 and 21888. Also, FYI. The xip from 21888 is identical to 21887 except fro the dsm where the build number changed. The link to the sys ther-amm provided had a xip that was missing coredll.dll, so you can just use the one from 21887.

Yeah, webstie is down, being worked in right now. As far as the fix, you have two options. One, just delete the packages from the rars. They wont cause any errors by not being there. Two, use the option.xml to add them as an option in the kitchen. Once it is added into an option.xml, the package is excluded unless it is checked. Use the Common packge guid as a p=, right under that assign the lang/dpi packages as an i=. Take a look at the option.xml under the dpi rar to get a better idea of what i mean.

UPDATE: PPCkitchen.org is back up.

@ Mikee4fun, thanks for the hybrid build i used calc's kitchen with your files and built myself a no HTC rom, just the necessities and the messaging is not the newer conversations one, also I can not add a new e-mail other than exchange and I was only able to do this by adding the server source via active sync not through "New Account" under messaging. When I choose "New Account" I get taken to text messaging, which by the way shows "Conversations" in the top right, but in e-mail it does not. Any idea's?

Has anyone else built a rom using Mikee4fun's 28014 with a hybrid of 23518 messaging (2010) and Newer IE from 28205, really cool concept if it works...

Not sure about when you choose New Account you get taken to text messaging. I did not have that issue. There are issues with the new threaded email, if you change the settings to keep email in sent folder or change the options to not prompt for deleting, it will disable threaded email and you cannot turn it back on with out hard resetting. I have gone back to 28888 build for now. Otherwise it seems pretty stable.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Joo Joo, so I am using the Visual kitchen, I am using the new kernel from the VZ updated rom which shipped. When cooking with it the phone boots and all, but the initial screen where it paints the radio, kernel version, etc does not show at all. The phone goes on to boot with no problems. You know what is dependent on getting the information to paint onto the initial screen?

On the 2 bold highlights, question? Where are these options in the registry or is it something I am selecting in the kitchen while I build the rom? Cause I only built the rom, guess I will try another build since you say that annd new account has worked for you with this sys.

Also Where is build 28888 I have not seen that floating around?
