BTW; does this solve phone canvas conflicting with lockscreen?

Problem details ( Not sure anyone faced this ) : When the device is locked ( StartMenu -> Lock 'softkey' ); I get a call; And both phone canvas and lockscreen conflicts or crashes or slide to ans windows comes in front instead of lockscreen's.

Will this solve with this patched cprog.exe? Or is there any solution(s) for this?

Best Regards

I had that problem also, that's why i stopped using lockscreen...
And had that problem with incoming calls, that sometimes the phone didn't ring or wake up...
After i removem titanium and lockscreen and puting manila and phonecanvas everything is ok.
The only thing is that sometimes the blue bouble appears for a while in front of the phone canvas... Is that what the files are for?

Re: HTC Phone Canvas fix for WM6.5

Hmm.. with the lock screen you will miss about 2 rings, but if you don't lock it then the call arrives on time.

dont know why i cant edit my last post...
i forgot to make space in html number to see it.

only acent have to be replace with html number.

é = & # 2 3 3 ;
â = & # 2 3 3 ;
without space.
ex: Téléphone.lnk
become T& # 2 3 3 ;l& # 2 3 3 ;phone.lnk
without space.
i hope to be clear... that time :)

Here are the instructions. It is recommended that you have WinCE CAB Manager to do this, otherwise it might be a bit difficult.
  1. Edit the mxipcold_wpc_2.provxml file:
    • At the top of the file, change the registry setting HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Skin to the name of the new .tsk to be used
    • Change the names and paths of the .png files to be used (e.g. replace all occurences of "classicBlue_" with "rockandrepublicblack_")
  2. Open up the TSK file with a CAB editor or file extractor of some sort (e.g. WinRAR), and then extract the two stwater*.jpg files and put them into your cooking folder.
    • For VGA, they are stwater_480_640.jpg and stwater_640_480.jpg.
    • For QVGA, they are stwater_240_320.jpg and stwater_320_240.jpg
    • You will also need the TSK file in your cooking folder, so don't delete it
  3. If you are using a custom theme and not one of the ones supplied by Microsoft in the SYS, then open up the TSK file with a CAB editor (e.g. WinCE CAB Manager)
    • Make sure the registry entries in the TSK file have the *.PNG files pointing to the desired folder (I always have them going under \Windows and not \My Documents\Themes --- it is more stable that way).
      • The easiest way to do this is to export the CAB's registry to a file, then to do a search and replace of the file locations, and then import the registry file back into the CAB.
  4. In the TSK file, open its registry settings and find the entries under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Color\MultiColorTheme. COPY these values over to the mxipcold_wpc_2.provxml file in Step 1 (replace the existing values in the provxml).
That should be enough, unless I'm stupid and forgot something. These steps work for me all the time.

Thanks to my buddy chihliouma at xda-developers, here's a fix from some Chinese forum that allows Phone Canvas to work properly in WM6.5, i.e. without the messed up Contact list scrolling:
  • Extract the files in the attachment below to your kitchen, OR
  • If you have Phone Canvas already running on your WM6.5 phone, then terminate the cprog.exe process (with FdcSoft Task Manager or equivalent program), and then copy the files in the attachment to \Windows, and reset.
Confirmed working on my GSM Diamond and also the Elf/Elfin (GSM Touch)...
:headbang:

BTW, if you're cooking it, then make sure these files overwrite the existing versions (with the same file names) found in your SYS.

So, can someone get this working for CDMA phones then?

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

I have just started cooking my own roms and have gone through most of this thread. I have a Titan from Verizon. So far I have only cooked the 21501 build from ppck. I downloaded the SYS_21232_Common.rar and SYS_21232_96DPI_0409.rar file from post #4112 corey1138. I put those two files in my Kitchens directory. I created a new BuildBase file pointing to those two new files. I see numerous references to an xip file. That is where I am getting lost. But, I think I just figured it out. The xip files appear to be in the Titan_Core.rar file. Do I unrar the file, put the xip file in there and then rar the file up again? I would imagine I need to place a reference to the new xip file in the Titan_WM6.1.txt file in the DeviceBases directory? Am I close? Or way too far away and I should just go hide in the corner for a little bit longer?

Thanks for any help you can offer me.

Jeff

p.s. I have seen references to other kitchens in this thread. Are these other kitchens better/worse/same as ppck? Are they freely available?

Hi, i'm not sure that it is an OEM branch, it might just be a testing branch for new features to be added in (whereas the AKU1 branch isnt getting the features just stability/bugfixes), but i'm not 100% sure on that..

What I am 100% sure on is this build is 6.5.0.1, and we are now post-release :)
