Re: Kinoma media player
Also I can't seem to find a way to go to the home sceen without having to press back a few times and no full screen support for my videos. They should have labeled this a concept release. Please don't mess this up Kinoma, by not listening to the users.

I have to switch my Titan to landscape mode BEFORE starting up Kinoma to watch a movie as there is no way to do it after the program starts (& even doing that doesn't make it full screen) . Once it's running you can't minimize it (it takes over the system COMPLETELY). Of course I always forget to do that & then I have to completely exit the program & start over. Like you said, even that's not easy to do as there is no way to easily get back to the start screen (there is no easy way to completely shut down the app for that matter). I feel this program is 100% totally aimed at noob users. This is fine & dandy except it needs an "advanced" option screen where more computer literate users can configure it to their liking & not be forced to completely accept the default settings. It is really ironic that it forces you to use it as the default video player (unless you know how to edit file asociations) but then gives "unsupported video format" errors on certain files that play just fine in WMP......... ~John |

Re: Kinoma media player
I'd like Kinoma to pay me $30 and send me a free copy of this player when it's ready for public consumption. Why the *()&(#$$&*#*& should I spend 2 hours trying to figure-out how to change the file associations that it commandeered. I don't think I've installed a desktop application that takes over associations like this POS did since I last used Windows 3.0. Ya dumb it down for the masses, but please give us a warning about what it's about to do.
BTW, If I ever see that scanning bar again i may just throw my damn phone in the nearest river. Seriously Charles, this thing is flawed as is your marketing push and not so camouflaged beta testing at serious PPC sites. Just say it's beta and people I'm sure would be more than willing to spend their time helping you out for free. |

Re: Kinoma media player
I need someone's help. I installed this Kinoma...and got all my media files high - jacked! (Taliban Style!) lol! Now all my music media and some of my video media is no longer recognizeable. Windows Media Player will no longer play the file from the "File Explorer" folder. I actually have to launch the Player, select the folder, then play the file! WTF?! Even after uninstalling this chaotic "Kill - noma"! My files are left raped! Is there any way to reverse and retore the associations to the files, without reinstalling 6gbs of audio and video?

Re: Kinoma media player
Resco file browser will restore all those hijacked file associations (I installed it just for that reason, although it is a great program anyway)
In Resco, you can get a "file/open with" option just like in any newer version of Windows. It has that same checkbox for "always use this app to open this type of file" also. ~John |

Re: Kinoma media player
Kinoma screwed me again! Today I called to cancel Real Broadband Essentials. Well I was on hold for 20mins. With what sounded like 24kbps hold music blasting in my ear, that kept skipping and sort of sound like it was rebuffering...

Re: Kinoma media player
I'm still loving it. I called to cancel my Real Super Pass and yes it took 25 Min to get through, but he said it's canceled. I really like this player for something different!
