Re: Sweet Clock

love the program ... found it on freewareppc a while back and i was about to start a thread to ask some questions about it but i guess ill ask here

im wanting to have something more like the anti-aliased digital font from the HTC Home plugin with the groovy softened edges ...

my question is where do you place your font file and what should it be named so that Pocket Digital Clock will use it to display the time ...

also im going to do some poking around but ill ask first ... does HTC Home use a ttf font? and if so where is it kept?

EDIT: well I found the custom font instructions for PDC but im still curious wether anyone knows if HTC Home uses ttf fonts and wether they can be ripped out or not ...

Re: Sweet Clock

I also would really love to get the TTF of Alien Round out of HTC home. If you can get this done please post the file here.

Re: Sweet Clock

bad news ... read up a bit and unless i'm missing something it seems ttf doesn't support translucency so HTC Home must be using bitmaps or Postscript ... even if we could rip them out we couldn't use them in PDC ...

maybe we can convince the author to add an option to use bitmap or Postscript fonts for those of us that are more concerned with looks than memory consumption ...

Re: Sweet Clock

FYI...

Version 1.1 has been posted to the website: http://project.ionized.googlepages.com/history

The 4.11.08 release includes a settings page (from settings>today>items>pocket digital clock, then click on options)

It now includes re-sizable fonts for the hours/minutes and a seperate adjustment for the seconds...if you want to see them (you can de-select the checkbox for seconds)

No more registry hacks!!!!

Still no simple provision for importing fonts though. You still have turn it off, copy the font to the PDC directory, then re-select it.

Great upgrade for a very cool clock though!!!!
