Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

press the mail hard button, select text messages, tap on the inbox with the arrow next to it, tap on the plus sign next to sms chat, then select "incoming" and BAAAAM there are all of ur messages. You probably just tapped on the sms chat folder, and when u do that it comes up blank, you have to select a sub-folder from within the main sms-chat folder

Next step, read the posts.

No kidding, read the first one, it should have most of the info. There are some issues so try typing in you model in a search and see what pops up.

Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

I gave it a good try, but there were too many issues on my xv6800 for me to purchase it at this point.

I love the interface, and there is no slowdown as I move through the application. Here are the issues I found..in case anybody cares.

1 - No notification sounds or vibration. I tried several fixes from this thread, no luck. This is a killer for me.

2 - No LED notification. If I miss the sound I like to know I have a message by the LED lights.

3 - No send to email. I have seen some workarounds, but for my environment I need to be able to enter an email and send it.

4 - No message counter on home page. Similar to the LED, I like to know if I have a message with a glance.

5 - Contact Pictures - As noted above, if I am going to pay for something I want this option.

Great app so far, but until a newer version comes out I have to pass.

Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

I had Pocketcm and dumped it as I was frustrated as hell w/my bubbles not looking like bubbles after I applied the .020 skins out there, the default version has woderful bubbles but the rest of it looks terrible!!!

So, I came back to fun contacts and sms-chat whic I love, I am hoping that vito does make newer versions to this, GOD knows, they made about a million updates to the fun contact!!!

Cool Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

I think I found a fix for the notification problems we have been experiencing. Not 100% sure, but it is working for me so far.

I only stopped getting all my notifications since I installed S2P, so maybe something between the two apps is causing a conflict. The notification doesn't always come up over the S2U2 anymore either, but it is there underneath when I unlock the phone, so I'm pretty sure it had to do with my new music player install.

Anyway, Start --> Settings --> Sounds & Notifications --> Notifications --> Event: Messaging: New text Message

Tick Play sound, Vibrate, Display Message on screen, and that should do it. I realised that the Display message on screen becomes unticked all by itself sometimes, go figure. But the Display onscreen seems to be the trick to make the notifications come through.

Will test it out some more just to be certain.

Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

Nah, I mean since I upgraded to SMS Chat v1.01 I wasn't having the problem anymore, then when I installed S2P it started to happen again where I wouldn't get all my notifications.
