However, were I in your shoes ajk511 I would leave this patronizing tone: "maybe a beta". I hear VITO customers in the first place and only then turn to snobish, mister-KNOW-Everything advices who prefer open source software. In the meantime "maybe a beta" has already become a choice of over thousand of customers who contribute greatly to its further improvement and who will benefit from this since updates and support are free for a year since purchase date.

PS we, guys (and me in particular) do "seriously listen to our potential customers" and always ready for "some big chanhes"
I never said I prefer open source software, just that the open source solutions for what you're trying to do happen to be a lot better. And thats a pretty sad thing. You say you listen to your customers but when one of them writes that they would like to see an SMS count, your reply is " Why count messages, just chat away". Sounds like A+ customer support to me. And I'm sorry if you find my opinion of your software being in a "beta" state to be patronizing, but I guess it's hard for some people to hear the truth. I do give you credit though for being the first representative from your company to do more on the forum than just post adds for your software and leave. But if you can't handle criticism then you're going to find your job here very hard.

Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

Sadly in this world, you just can't please everyone... bottom line. When you fork out ur dough to buy Windows Vista for example, and it has something that you don't like or would want changed, what do you do???

This is the best app that has come along to handle SMS messages (other than the default WM6 app) in my opinion. Yes there are things with the software that everyone will not like, but if the developers spent every waking day making changes to suit every customer that has a request, they would have to end up selling the product for wayyy more than they do right now. And guess what... you will then start complaining about the high price .

Many thanks to the developers for actually caring enough to check in on the forum and for going the extra mile to try to make improvements and modifications on an already great product (the seemless integration of all your products is just amazing).

My only suggestion is to add config options to the interface, which will allow users to customise the app to suit their specific needs. I personally love the big mail message on the screen above everything else; for easy access and quick reading while driving or whatever. I always have my phone on me (why the hell would I leave something that expensive just lying around on my desk)?!?!

So just making an option to turn that feature on and off would fix that problem... for those on the forum who can't control their nosey women .

What about the wrong keyboard being displayed for the touch? This alone caused me to uninstall the app. If this was the right keyboard I would have no problem reinstalling the app, even though the sms button on the HTC home screen does not link to sms anymore. Huge turnoff

Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

apparently, criticism and opinions is what's needed and whoever doesn't like it; well, then you shouldn't be in the software/development/consumer territory.. i already stated my dislikes. good program, just rather bland in any sort of customization... even for a beta... but i guess every developer has their own priority list of what should get done/implemented first even though core features and customizability are usually what sells an app, not what it does.

anyway, i'll wait a few more months before i give it another try... until then i'll stick with what i currently use on my device.

I know! Speaking of that annoying ish, is there a way to prevent PocketCM from intercepting some texts sometimes? Like its kinda random when it happens, but sometimes when I get a text, it'll show the regular notification, and then it'll go to PocketCM and I have to close it and go back to the regular threaded SMS. I just want it for a contacts list! Annoying!

go into pocketcm settings, and there is a button you can check to "allow another program to handle sms"

Thumbs up Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS

Ahhh, your friendly neighborhood information provider has returned .

I've been messing around with a few keyboards for this app, from Vito Zoomboard, Touchpal, Resco, etc, and I've finally found a keeper. Now of course you know I must post vids so that you can see what I'm talking about, so whapax (Bajan slang).... See Below.

The only thing I really love from PocketCM is their new Keyboard v0.13 with Iphone skin, this is even better than Touchpal in some ways, here is the video for that too (the new iphone skin looks way better and has much bigger keys than the one shown in the vid) and some skin installation and config info:

1. Install the keyboard cab file
2. UnRAR the skins in the PocketCM Keyboard folder
3. Go to Settings --> Input
4. Choose PCM Keyboard --> Click Options
5. Tick Enable suggestion
6. Choose 2many in the Keyboard skin dropdown
7. Click Ok, then choose Word completion
8. Tick Suggest Words > after 2 letters > suggest 4
9. Tick Add a space after word
10. Click Ok

If you're still hooked on TouchPal, here is a video with some helpful tips.

dude this has been answered already...read first b4 posting.

to answer ur question, this feature is not enabled...at least as of yet. If you need to get to the link go to your standard text messaging app and select "sms-chat" and then "incoming". The messages are still stored in that folder, along with the embedded hyperlinks
