Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS
okay- tried the new version(1.01) and i must say now its a keeper. Ill take the shortcomings for a great, functional UI, and SMS chat really delivers on that aspect. The delay bug is fixed, id still like to see an option to disable the message pop-up- or at least to configure it where it doesnt take priority over the entire system. Either way it rocks

Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS
- there is still a bug that the LED still flashes amber even after reading all new messages.. it never clears the new message led notification.
- you can't click a link u get from a message (urls in messages aren't click-able). no copy&paste function either. - no easy way to launch the app. htc home/today screen buttons do not get remapped to sms-chat app. - no options to change the date format... i dunno about you but i find a date format as 22.02 (feb 22) rather awkward. - no options to see message count. just shows a large list of messages.. it would be nice if there were indicators to see how many messages per contact on the main window, and number of messages sent/received per thread along with the date. it would be nice if there were some options to this program.. nice app but i don't think i would buy it until i see most of these things i mentioned above fix/implemented. |

Re: SMS-Chat by Vito Technologies Threaded SMS
There's always this guy who thinks he knows everything. Nobody is forcing you to buy SMS-Chat. The reason I came here is because I found this discussion on google and read it through carefully. I saw some good suggestions and we discuss them for implementing into future versions.
However, were I in your shoes ajk511 I would leave this patronizing tone: "maybe a beta". I hear VITO customers in the first place and only then turn to snobish, mister-KNOW-Everything advices who prefer open source software. In the meantime "maybe a beta" has already become a choice of over thousand of customers who contribute greatly to its further improvement and who will benefit from this since updates and support are free for a year since purchase date. PS we, guys (and me in particular) do "seriously listen to our potential customers" and always ready for "some big chanhes" Last edited by Konstantink; 02-24-2008 at 04:06 AM. |

On another note, does anyone know how to get the SMS button in PointUI to open SMS-Chat? I hate having to go to my phone's "desktop" to open the start menu to open sms-chat. Last edited by eleazar; 02-24-2008 at 05:10 AM. |
