Wait.... what are you people smokin'?!?!?!? After re-reading the posts I hear you guys talking about paying $15.00 for the app?!?!?

Check the link I posted to the Freestyl forum in the above thread, the links to the cracked cab file are included there.

Sheesh, ask a question before forking out your hard earned dough,

I would edit your last post before your issued a warning by one of the Mod's. We cant post links to cracked apps.

I have removed the links on that thread. As stated above, cracked/warez apps are not allowed on PPCGeeks.

Referencing my previous post about this app... I ended up moving my saved posts from my user-created folders to the Inbox and re-started SMS-Chat so they would be imported into the existing threads.

Bad idea, what SMS-Chat does is, it takes the new messages and dumps them at the end of the thread. It keeps them sorted by date, but at the end of the already-existing thread.

So you basically have a lump of messages sorted by date (the ones that were originally imported) and another lump after the first one also sorted by date (with the messages that I moved from my folders to the Inbox so they would get imported into the existing threads).

In other words, make sure ALL your messages are in the Inbox and the Sent Items folders before running the app for the first time or the threads will be all wacky.

I will see if I find more out as I play with the app.

Sounds like this little app has some real promise. However, Imma gonna hold out until it's been revved a few times. In my experience first generation anything seems to be a bit buggy.

That's just me.

late,
Coz

Eh...

Pros:
1. Great UI
2. Speedy launch despite 1.3+ mb ram foot print
3. Full Screen
4. adjusts to show inputed text when KB is brought up.

Cons:
1. lack of options or preset texts or even smileys.

2. cant send text to emails

3. smileys arent shown graphically.

4. not counted by default windows sms counter, (but slide2unlock reads it temporarily)

5. not compatible with htc today plugin

6. no today plugin for easy access. (although a simple reg hack allows to rename/re-route the left softkey to the app.

7. the alert takes you out of what your doing and even appears on top of slide2unlock screen.

8. the alert shows complete message (lack of privacy)

9. Texts are sometimes late sending/receiving

10. Doesn't utilize eT9, AutoComplete or Add Word. (no Touch keypad/keyboard)

-----------
heres how 2 route it to ur left sofkey via registry edit.

HKEY_Current User/Software/Microsoft/Today/Keys/112

Change (Default) to SMS (or whatever you wanna call it)
Change Open String to \Program Files\VITO\SMS-Chat\SMSChat.exe
Soft Reset
(thats if its installed on ur device. alter it if ur running it from your storage card)
--------------------

overall i'd say its cool for a 1st version. its more form over function right now. So im goin back to palm messaging for now. Covered up input and all. lol.
6/10

Well ive been using this all day and here is my take on it.. it is a great app to rub in everyones face becuz they dont have it. but i the one day i need to go str8 to the internet from a txt i couldnt using this program. so i had to erase it asap.. its kinda weird gettin used to becuz the send button is on the right instead of the left, and if you are using codyppc app it makes it even harder to get used to. before you can start typing you have to touch the screen every time and i thought that got old pretty fast. But thats my take on it and i prolly went through 500 txt using it today...
